most carbone or aluminium landing gears come without axles for weehls,so those are the ones needed : make 2 holes for the 2 skrews insert them and tight .then insert the weehl and lock it with the collar .I wish that helps

very weird IM THINKING MAYBE THERE FOR the flat aluminum gear and you put the wheels on it and they also hold the wheel pants on also,

what are these used for?
 jcrosk 63 points
That's a good question* I don't have a clue.

looks like a wheel axle with the little piece sticking out from the bottom with the nut and bolt attached acting as a locking device to your landing gear strut.
 jbc1234567 500 points
not sure if it's an axle as it's hollow, you'd think an axle would be solid.

Essentially, you bolt them on your landing gear wire and attach the wheel to them. They allow you to attach larger wheels and they look nicer.

its a hollo tube thats not good.
 kaptondave 114 points
Use them to mount wheels on flat alloy or cf struts. There is nothing wrong with tube axles. I will order a set for my project box.

Perhaps u can use them with a spiral spring (for a "Feather-cash" LGear?

very handy for attaching wheel pants, which is what i use them for. I guess five if you have a tail dragger and a trike to fit out
