hi i just received this battery, and i read* 0,xx-6,xx-6,xx (i dont excatly remember it) on my volt checker, two of those cheap ones that hobbyking sell. I know that a lipo cell couldnt manage that high voltage but when i connect the balacer to my icharger (i trut it) i got a balancer error. So i think the balancer leads arent correctly solder. Can somebody help? I dont encourage to open the lipo cause i dont want to void warranty. could it be another issue?
 nexundai 25 points
One cell could be totaly discharged ! Hurry up and contact Hobbyking's support *)

what is ment charge rate 2c. how much is equivalent 2c in mah
 p3tras 240 points
4.2A. It is the maximum charge rate, so it would be best to charge it at ~2.1A.
 2stroke 83 points
because of 2c charge rate this means max 2x Capacity which is 2,100mah therefore 4,200mah or 4.2a is max rate of charge but to lengthen the life of the battery, use a lower rate,i would get more batteries and stick to 1c or less

Will this work in the hobbyking bixler
 Pdragonfly 7 points
Yes it will fit with no problems. Good luck and share your experience with us!
 Hansc 373 points
Yes it will fit fine. You don't need a 35c rating for that setup though. You might find a cheaper or larger for the same weight, pack of a 25C rating.
 suspect 77 points
zippy 2200mah 3s 20c do the job well too and it's cheaper
 Ryan 5 points
I have used both on my stryker, and the 20c get a little bit hotter, but both are a really good value.

Can I charge this battery with the "Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S" (Turnigy-3S)? TKS
 mouchadino 372 points
Charger 2S-3S" (Turnigy-3S) work fine on this batt :)
 Augusto 15 points
Yes, you can! There are no problem.

Yes they are handy little chargers but be sure to monitor the pack consistantly. These are not smart chargers and do not have a safety cutoff.
 Hansc 373 points
3s in the product title of both products refer to the amount of cells, that is 3 cells in this case. A single lipoly cell has a voltage of around 3,7v so a 2 cell would be 8,4v and a 3 cell would be 11,1v. Motors are rated for some turns per volt (kv) so using more volt will cause more rotations and thus more power from that same motor, just by upgrading the battery. With that charger you can charge anymore than 3 cells (11,1v).
stealth117b  15 points - 7/6/2011

i need to give a discharge cycle to these 3s lipo battery can someone tell me what is the lowest voltage per cell thanks
 Igor 3 points
Most manufacturers claim a maximum and minimum voltage of 4.23 and 3.0 volts per cell. Taking any cell outside these limits can reduce the cell's capacity and ability to deliver full rated current.

What charger are you using for discharge?
 Ryan 5 points
I have read that going above 4.20v per cell can dramatically effect the life span, further most forums do not recommend going below 3.30v per cell for maximum life span of the batteries. While many BECs or alarms will cut off at 3.0v (per cell) this is generally not a recommended best practice.

Has anyone tried this lipo with the HK450GT? Does it fit under the canopy ok. Does it have enough power?
 DarKingDooM 41 points
its have good powers
 dino1 53 points
the power is ok on hk450 heli....good batt with big cable
 NICOMONI 7 points
I've git some of them, over 100 charges. They work great in my Zagy wing with a brushlees 2780 kv. Wellworth to buy.
 RubenW 2 points
I use this battery on my Hk450 and it works really well. It also fits snugly under the canopy. It has a lot of power for my use.
 ofir bitton 8 points
YES I HAVE ONE ON MY 450CX IT VERY POWERFULL
 geordieboy 91 points
Thanks for the help guys.
 farehamflyer 5 points
used 3 on a sport for nearly a year still good power nearly 100 charges so for the price very good value 4 min flight time 3d type flying!
karmonkey  110 points - 2/16/2011

can anyone tell me the real measurement of this lipo? specially the width, my battery tray is 24mm width but if this lipo is really 25mm width it will fit witn no problems
 Sergey 54 points
Length-113 (mm)
Height-34 (mm)
Width-25 (mm)
 KaosKane 1427 points
You could probably sand the battery box .05mm each side to fit the batt the bigger the bat the longer the flying time as long as cg is ok <****{==} Sword of Kaos

Stock updated NOT frequently. I waiting over 40 days... outrageous!
 TPDINH 37 points
What I would do is just buy them and they will ship it to you when they get them in stock. Sometimes they do have some but they will fill people's orders with the new ones they get in so you always see it showing BK when it's not.

Hi! I would also like to know the kind of plug they use for this LiPo. I could imagine buying some for my new Parkzone F4U Corsair, because the specifications seem to fit my needs. But what do you think about the price/quality realtion? In my opinion they are VERY cheap, perhaps a little bit too cheap...? Will they fit the given data? Can we believe in the specifications? What do YOU think ? Thanks !
 nitro 158 points
they use XT60 Connectors Male

YOUR LHS CAN PUT DEANS ON THEM FOR A FEW DOLLARS EACH, MINE WILL!!!

drained 40A without problems in a MPX Acromaster .. 2100mAh is real, but dont needed the 35C right now. 20C without heat.
 Graham Daniel 495 points
They are great. If using around water, apply extra sealant and heatshrink. 3S and up packs have a tendency to overheat the centre cell first, because of less cooling. ensure a higher discharge capacity for 3S and up batteries. Don't bank on 35C for this battery if that's a constant load, I think these C ratings are more applicable for propeller planes where load drops a lot in level flight. Ducted fans and jet boats have a high almost constant loading.

what does it have for a plug on the main wires?
 inobar 7 points
Nylon XT60 the new standard on HK-Lipos
 hobbyjunky 2 points
it has a hbby king plug i would recomend purchasing
a set of deans conectors they are much more universal in my opinion but if it doesnt matter to you the hobby king ones work just as good
Felar Furlong  1081 points - 6/15/2010

Looks like a good pack for edf planes.
 AlexinOz 308 points
Whoa - a massive C rating! And the price - unbelieveable for that sort of quality. It'll drain in about 1 minute 42 at 35C though (77Amps * 11.1V) hehe :) I'd assume it could be a good fit for a larger glider, which needs to drive a big prop (high amps) but where you don't want any more weight than absolutely necessary to get it up nice and high.
 vinay2070 174 points
Looks good for a 3D 450 heli that goes through serious pitch pumping.

These batteries are worth the wait. I ordered 7 of them and they all work good. They are built better than the older ones also. A little beefier/bigger than the old ones but that's ok. I have used it on my Trex 450S with stock Align motor at 85-100pcnt throttle for 8 min flight just to test one out. Ending voltage as a total of 11.0V after 8min test flight. Not bad!

Extreme Lipo! I fly it in a Hotliner, pushing out approx. 80A constant during flight incredible high voltage, stays cool. They are equal or better than Kokam 2100 H5 30C for 1/3 the price. Go and get them!!!

Veramente una batteria eccezionale al contronto della categoria 20c, 25c di Lightmax, sopra di tutto per l'utilizzo con il motore di elicottero 3d.
