How do I get this to bind with a Walkera 60 speed control ? , if it is possible at all.
 Doobieman 137 points
I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. There is a module sold for this and other xmitters that supposedly does the Devo protocol, but it's kind of expensive * roughly 98 dollars, IMO.

Hi there just want to know if this will bind to a OrangeRX DSMX/DSM2 2.4Ghz transmitter module (JR/Turnigy compatible) plugged into a Turnigy 9XR Transmitter (Mode 2 –* Throttle on Left Stick) I have all three but can't get them to talk
 Doobieman 137 points
No, that will not work. To bind this receiver you need the FS-TM002 module, from FlySky. Not available here, but elsewhere. About $18 on Bang Good or eBay.
 NewToHobbyKing 13288 points
Kris the 9XR is not compatible with anything till you fit a module.

I am a really dumb noob who just got this radio w/ receiver. I know the radio is PPM capable, but what about the receiver that comes with it? I was in the company of guys who've flown for years, and they could not figure this out. Documentation out in the interwebs is sp****. So, is the receiver PPM capable, and if yes, which connector is used for the PPM-signal-out (to PixHawk) Any heads-up is greatly appreciated! Jan
 NewToHobbyKing 13288 points
Jan this is a 8ch PPM receiver not a 9 ch PCM. That is as far as it goes. This is not a PPM Compatible. I does not have "which connector is used for the PPM-signal-out". It is NOT THAT PPM sorry.
 Doobieman 137 points
That's right, Jan. HobbyKing's stupid PC robot censored the word spar-s-e.

Why won't this work with digital servos - when plugged in they just jitter and won't respond to any stick inputs, I've tried swapping channels and also checked a second reciver with the same outcome - anologue seem to work ok though. Is there something I need to do to make digitals work - I intend to use 2 mini digitals in the wing and standard anologues for rudder and elevator?

If you are using a BEC power source, try with a different power source like 2s battery (pay attention at connections, REMEMBER is central). It is possible that the fault is of the ESC's BEC. If you are already using a battery source, i don't know how help you. Sorry :)

*REMEMBER plus/red is central

These work fine with the digital servos I've used with them. I have a number of them in service using these receivers. Mostly TGY-306G-HVs, but also Rotorstars and Fusonics. Something else must be wrong.
 NewToHobbyKing 13288 points
Nigel are you sure it is a Digital Servo and not a Sbus Servo. Sbus servos will not work on the receiver,
 Nigel 20 points
The servos are the cheapo mini HK metal geared white ones Ref HK15148B 19g/2.8kg/0.14s, just as a further note they seem to work ok with the Orange/Spektrum Rx and I've tested on a second 9x Rx with the same poor results - it's got me stumped!
 NewToHobbyKing 13288 points
What power source do you have to your receiver. Also your Tx is a Turnigy9XV2. Yes or No.
 Nigel 20 points
power source is a standard 4.8v NIMH flight pack fully charged and Tx is Tunigy 9x V2
 Pi90show 27 points
Can you try with at least 5.5V source? Because I have some servo that run only at >5.5V... Just try?
 Nigel 20 points
Mny thanks Pi90show it worked perfectly with 5 nmh batts - so either my new flight pack is a dud or the servos are a bit voltage sensitive, it isn't the Rx for sure works perfect now

I am very satisfied with this unit ... I ordered it like five, and five operate.

how do you lose the range of 100 m? you have made several tests?

At the range I could be tested only 3 for now but the three were perfect (almost invisible models) ZERO problem.

This module weight 19grammes. if we remove the box and two screws, its total weight is 9grammes.

it is also possible to unsolder the connection plate and solder directly servos wires on the rx ( lot of place, very easy ).The final weight drops to 7 grams

definitely a great product

For some time now I have it ordered, but not in stock. As well as transmitters. Excellent product at a reasonable price, but unavailable. I give only four crowns.
