I'm getting sick and tired of this receiver. I'm on my 5th one and everyone i have urged in it just burned out instantly

That's more likely mean you are powering it wrong... this RX requires 4.5-6V of external power... or have some connector reversed ... bottom row of pins is ground.. middle is PLUS 5v and top row are signal output pins. There are many ways to fry it... First - reverse connector upsidedown... second exeed power range of 6v... third occasionly shorten signal out pin to voltage higher then power is. Check with voltmeter. each connection to RX... (all connectors) If on any connector you have more then 5v between GND pin (one at bottom) and ANY of other 2 pins on connector this is the reason...

How am I supposed to power it with my quad I have a kk2.2 flight controller and a 30c 2200mah lipo
 v_max 4977 points
In this case you do not need explicity connect any power to RX.. Each RX input on KK2 board has 3 pins which are gnd 5v(out) and signal.. So your RX will be powered by KK2 through this connections.
 Frankie 1 points
That's what I do and it burns out
 v_max 4977 points
And what way you are powering your kk2 ? from esc becs?
 v_max 4977 points
Well...check voltage on each of kk2 RX channels connectors with voltmeter. Between connector gnd pin and other two of each connector...If anywhere it's more then 5v then this is the reason....

I am setting up my system, the channels on this Rec. are numbered 1 thru 8. What channel is for what? IE: Throttle, rudder, elev and ailerons I'm lost. Help Thanks
 v_max 4977 points
First 4 channels are Ael, Ele, Throttle, Rud, the rest are aux1-aux4. This can be changed via mixing menu.

can this be used with the turnigy 9xr? i have the Frsky module
 v_max 4977 points
No... this RX not compatible with FrSky ACSST protocol used by frsky DJT module. For Frsky DJT module you can choose any FrSky ACSST receiver D or V8 series (first letter in RX name D or V8) D series is telemetry capable. V8 is non telemetry ones.

BlkFeet pull the Frsky Module and fit the New DSSS Module (( Turnigy DSSS 2.4Ghz Transmitter Module For 9XR / 9XR Pro (JR Configuration) SKU: 9171000547-0)). Then you can, Better the DSSS Module will us the 9XR internal Antenna. (But as V_max hinted:: The Frsky is a better way to go.

does this reciver supports PCM?, and if using a naze 32 can i connect 8 motors? thanks
 v_max 4977 points
NO. not support. As for number of motors this is question to Naze 32... not to RX.... Yes, naze 32 supports octo configuration

Anyone know if there is a 9x compatible S-bus Rx? does the stock one have a s-bus port? I'm going to use a Xaircraft MiniX FCB on my quad build, and I'd like to use my HK 6ch set, which is compatible with the 9x Rx, so if there is another 9x compatible Rx with an sbus, it should work with the HK 6ch. *gasp*
 v_max 4977 points
there are only 3 compatible rxes with 9x stock module. This one, hk tr6a and gt2 (3ch). no one has sbus and no one has failsafe
 Mosa 98 716 points
dang, already knew that, never mind then, such is life. Might go for the Naza M v2 instead then, I don't particularly want to have a convertor too, it's another thing to go wrong.
 v_max 4977 points
My choise was getting rid of stock turnigy RF module and receivers... Upgraded t9x transmitter with Frsky DJT combo... Upgraded HK t6a transmitter with Frsky DIY tx module... Replaced all my RXes with frsky D4R-II rx.. Now I have small lightweight 8ch cppm rxes with failsafe function and low signal and low battery alarms... via frsky telemetry link and this is REAL long range system...

I am very satisfied with this unit ... I ordered it like five, and five operate.

how do you lose the range of 100 m? you have made several tests?

At the range I could be tested only 3 for now but the three were perfect (almost invisible models) ZERO problem.

This module weight 19grammes. if we remove the box and two screws, its total weight is 9grammes.

it is also possible to unsolder the connection plate and solder directly servos wires on the rx ( lot of place, very easy ).The final weight drops to 7 grams

definitely a great product

HOW TO BIND NEW RECIVER: 1. Ignore the "BIND" and BAT order, 2. Plug Battery into BIND pins 3. Plug bind cord (cable) into BAT pins red led will start flashing 4. Hold the "BIND RANGE BUTTON" on TX 5. Turn ON the TX (hold still button). 6. Red LED will stay ON, Turn Off TX, unplug battery, remove bind cord. Thats all :)

For some time now I have it ordered, but not in stock. As well as transmitters. Excellent product at a reasonable price, but unavailable. I give only four crowns.
