With this can I use the radio failsafe?
 Miguel FP 1495 points
This rx doesn't have failsafe.
 Leonardo 9 points
What turnigy rx has failsafe?
 NewToHobbyKing 14390 points
Leonardo you can fit an External Fail Safe. (Sold here at HK). The only receiver with a Fail Safe, that I know works with the Turnigy9XV2 is "HobbyKing®* ™* GT-2 2.4Ghz Receiver 3Ch (SKU: HK-GT2_RX)"
 Miguel FP 1495 points
To have falisafe with this transmitter, you need to upgrade it with a different broadcast system, for instance Frsky, like FrSky DF 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w/ Module & RX PRODUCT ID: DJT .
 v_max 3925 points
actually this RX do not have failsafe... But this is perfect. It just stops sending pwm signals to output. And this wonderfull because most FC firmwares detect signal loss and switch inot failsafe mode. So you need to enable failsafe (on connection loss) in FC firmware and it's much simplier then with failsafe in RX option.

I have zero problems out to 1500 feet with transmitter voltage showing 8.8 volts and starting to beep low voltage.
 Bartholomew 7 points
I have found that the readout on the transmitter on mine is out by one and a half volts. Just keep this in mind when going for long flights.

anyone know for sure how far you can fly with these recievers?? i have had afew crash,s well i could not find anything wrong except that well i went to far and it browned out.but i still could see the plane fine and i did not think i was not that far out when lost signal. one time i only could control throttle and on 2 others they just kept on going found all the planes it is just that it sucks getting afraid to go flying somewhere that i don,t know the area so in case one decides to go off on it,s own so i can find it.wish these had failsafe in them. this has happened 4 out of the last 10 flights i have had.not sure if it is transmitter or the receivers. last one was the durafly bf-110 found it in tree, good thing i use lost model beepers on all my planes or i would have never found any of them.

I have proven 300m on my Turnigy9XV2 but many have reported much more! Did you do a field test?
 wolfes1126 4204 points
I had this Radio before i got the 9XR and then the Taranis. My best result was according to OSD just under 1000 meters in open Line of Sight. Hope this helps you
 Grantham Kid 43 points
Never had a problem with range at all on mine and I have flown 2 meter gliders to the point that it was difficult to see them. Stitch58, If you still had throttle control, then it is not a range problem.

Taranis Plus x9d using a Turnigy RF9X-V2 module and Turnigy 9X 2.4 GHz 8Ch Receiver (V2) I’*ve got a Taranis plus TX after upgrading from a Turnigy 9x. I’*ve got the TX module RF9X-V2 out of my old Turnigy TX and a load of turnigy receivers in my models. I’*m very keen to use this Turnigy TX module in my Taranis so that I can use my old Turnigy receivers. I have had good success with the receivers in the past. I understand that the Taranis has a built in TX module and all the benefits of telemetry, but I’*d still like to make good use of my old Turnigy receivers. So far I’*ve got the module plugged into the Taranis all ok and have the model set to use PPM and the external module, but still can’*t seem to get any life out of the receiver. Has anybody got this working or got any pointers for me?

Do you bind rx with tx module?
 William001 8 points
I checked that the pins on the tx module were lining up with the pins on the radio. The pins were missing the connector holes all together and slipping down the side of the tx connector. A little bending of the radio pins to the right and carefully refitting got it working straight away. Many thanks for people's feedback on this.
 NewToHobbyKing 14390 points
Will that is an old issue. Sadly it does happen now and then. Good pick-up!
 Grantham Kid 43 points
William001, you have to enable the external module in the Taranis. This disables the internal one while you have the Turnigy module in use. It works fine on mine.

Can i use 4S Lipo battery with this receiver?
 Miguel FP 1495 points
If you are using a ESC with an output voltage between 4.5 and 6.5V, you can use a 4S lipo, but you can't connect it (the battery) directly to receiver, that will burn it.
 Ozan 7 points
Thank you so much for your quick answer. I think buy this ESC to. You can see link below. I didn't see output voltage in this page. www.link
 NewToHobbyKing 14390 points
Ozan the ESC (if it has a uBec built in) will power your receiver via the servo like plug. Yes the same plug that is used to control the ESC and then Motor. Most ESC (with built in uBec unless stated) will have a (receiver supplied) voltage of 5v. (Now if your receiver does not power up, then you may have a ESC that does not have a built in uBec).
 Miguel FP 1495 points
You are welcome. HK bans links, Can you write wich ESC want you to bay?

I am very satisfied with this unit ... I ordered it like five, and five operate.

how do you lose the range of 100 m? you have made several tests?

At the range I could be tested only 3 for now but the three were perfect (almost invisible models) ZERO problem.

This module weight 19grammes. if we remove the box and two screws, its total weight is 9grammes.

it is also possible to unsolder the connection plate and solder directly servos wires on the rx ( lot of place, very easy ).The final weight drops to 7 grams

definitely a great product

For some time now I have it ordered, but not in stock. As well as transmitters. Excellent product at a reasonable price, but unavailable. I give only four crowns.
