If I want to get servo arms for this servo - which do I get? - JR, Futaba, or Hitec? Thanks in advance.
 Paul 20 points
Futaba arms worked for me

Hi folks, I am building a tricopter v2.5. I'm not experienced at all in electronics and soldering, so a friend is helping me. When i tried connecting this servo to a KK2.0 board and connected the battery, the servo moved to the extreme right side and stayed there. When arming the board, the motors did respond to throttle stick together but the servo was not responding. From the smell, i realized that it was burnt :( What could be the reason for this? Thx
 Espen 2 points
Hello! You need load motor layout to tricopter mode before powering up the servo on kk.2.0.

How much travel?

hi will this be able to lift 2.3 kg or not.

i ask coz i am building a slide dolly for filming and want to t=do time laps so i need a servo that can pull 1.5 kg and even pull it upwards.

thank you
 Jeroenstream 42 points
Yes with 6v and with a small servoarm.

 beezlebub 231 points
yes, assuming you use a small servo arm, but this won't be very useful for lifting a camera, as it will only be able to move about 1/2cm each way.

Does anyone know what's the servo's framerate? 'Ordinary' (non digital) servos are manufactured for 50Hz and can work up to 65Hz. Digital, usually, allow higher framerates - up to 333Hz. I'm asking because I would like to use these servos with microbeast (BeastX) and it supports framerates up to 200Hz for cyclics...
 jbx907 183 points
thats my plan too that why i pick this digital servo for cyclics! thats a good question, haven't heard of anyone using this as a tail servo with digital gyros to get the real frame rate of this product.. if you have the beastx already you can try it out already, try it with one servo first, just hold the servo and see movements! i dont believe a servo will just burn that fast, you'll feel it buzzing if it the frame rate is not matched!
 Juan 1 points
This servos will work OK at 200Hz, I have this servos working with an Align 3GX that works at 300Hz with no problems. This are great precise and strong servos.

Any one knows if this servos will fit on the mountings of an hk450 pro for the cyclic. Thanks a lot.
 jbx907 183 points
it fits perfectly sir for the cyclic mount!
 hobbybrasil 4 points
Yes, i bought 3 for my HK450 PRO, they fits perfect. very good servos, you will not regreat.
 celulari 20 points
the providesd screws on a hk450 pro seems to be a little short for mounting them... what screws are recommended???? thanks!
 jbx907 183 points
oh, i bought a package of bolts and nuts from our local hobby store, assorted bolts and nuts! you need the same dia but longer 5/8 long! be sure the ELEVATOR servo is mounted outside the frame... not inside as th the manual, the horns and ball links will be exact with the balls on the swash if mounted outside!

Is it the same of BMS-375DMG Metal gear Digital Servo? Is the BMS-20321 Metal Gears for BMS-373MG & BMS-375DMG work with this servo?
 jbx907 183 points
there are two types, one without the heatsink and this! about gearings if the package seems the same usually it maight have the same gears!
monit111  184 points - 4/15/2011

i have this servo but and i love them but what doz digital mean?

they work nicly on my turnigy x9
 jbx907 183 points
digital servos are fast servos, its has very low latency or delay. actually the accuarcy of digtal stepping has wider range than analog, and is non suseptable to interference and noise bcoz its is digital

thanks man also do you know it its normal wen i can hear a slite humming sound wen ther not even moving? i was thinking maybe its coz im testing them and the transmitter is close to reacever?
 Maxim 7 points
There is nothing wrong with humming sound. All digital servos make it than they are slightly loaded. Even if they loaded very, very, slightly.

OMG, JR TYPE, NOT FUTABA????!!!!!
 monit111 184 points
ther amazing servos just got mine 2day only issue is the lenth of the cable is abit on the rubish side tbh
 Runnerba 25 points
These plugs can be connected IN FUTABA Receivers?
 jbx907 183 points
just plan on your electronic layout, the servo cords are a little short! wouldn't want it not reaching your receiver right hehehe!
 Maxim 7 points
Futaba plugs can be easily converted in JR plugs. Just grab your side cutters. If you dono your's receiver plug type and to lazy to make a cut - take JR plugs. They fit Futaba and JR.
 obach 5 points
The plugs are JR/Hightec style. Haven't tested them yet, but the look and feel is great.

hey does anyone know if you can set this to ds mode on the hk 401b gyro? i know it says digital servo but i have already fried a so called digital servo on this setting so just seeing if anyones done it and how it worked out cheers.

oi, pode sim este servo é muito bom, eu uso no meu 450 e ele é bem rapido. hi, yes this can be very good servant, I use on my 450 and it is pretty fast.

i think the servo is better of for cyclic... its better to use core less digital servo with less latency for tail servo it will have quicker response!
Kybercat  32 points - 3/19/2011

What is the running current at load/no load in this servo?
 Phelec 30 points
At idle it is 5 to 11 milliAmps. While turning it is 230 to 250 milliAmps without load as well as with a reasonable load.

anyone use these servos in hk450??
 - WaRDoG - 11 points
sim, a uso na cauda do meu 450 com um gyro turnigy 302 em modo digital, funciona muito bem. yes, use the tail of my 450 with a Turnigy 302 gyro in digital mode, it works very well.
 jbx907 183 points
may Hk450gt pro arrive with 3 of this servos for cyclic, it fits perfectly even for the mounting holes, it should also fit the no pro too! the quality is good, a bit heavier than other same size servos! must be the weight of the heat sink, feel heavy duty even if it gets a little warm!
SwitchFly  18 points - 3/5/2011

No body know if this servo works in 1520us and 333hz ?
 SwitchFly 18 points
It's for use with the gyri ga-250.
 jbx907 183 points
i used that for cyclic servo, if you want 1520us 333hz tail servo similar in size, get the DS480MG, its alot faster quiter and is coreless!
this tgy375mg servo has power and is good for cyclic loads! DS480 would be better sir!

Hi I'm an Italian modeler and OT enthusiast, I'm serchin' for a real "precision servo" in tiny package...
and this little beast seems to fit the bill ! A so nice and accurate looking usually means robust construction and top performance..I've ordered two just to test ) www.link this is a tread I've opened in RC Group ..some interesting pics and video...all hardware come from HC/HK...)
Ciao, Luca

I bought 5 of these servos for an EPP plane (Ursus). One is faulty. As it happened it was the first one I tried on my Turnigy servo tester just to see what they were like. It was stopping about at 2/3 of it travel and then would return back again while using the auto sweep test on the tester. It was getting hot while operating for 30 seconds. I tested the current. It rose from 250ma to 1,000ma when stopped/jammed. I opened it up and have diagnosed that there is something wrong with the output gear or the other gear that is shared on the output shaft. If the case is left slightly loose it will work. But, hey, I am not trusting it for use. I will look into warranty???

i got it today, 3 pcs and used a servo tester to check! all servo are good, its alittle heavier than similar size servos...
one thing after testing it awhile, zigzag method on the servo tester, it became alittle warm, it must be the heatsink!
its alittle noisy coz of metal gears, have seen glitches yet, good centering... i do another followup review when i have installed it!
one thing it ferfect on HK450gt pro cyclic! fits perfect!
