Has anyone fitted this into a 450 Pro tail mount?

servo is unprotected for EMI, and will cause your receiver to blink* blinks on my hobbycity and ar7000 receiver. However, you can simply improvise to correct the problem, but you need to figure out for your own benefit. Welcome to the fascinating world of Electronics 101. You too can be an Engineer.

excuse my ignorance, but what is EMI? Since using an FrSky 2.4GHz module and RX in my JR 9XII radio, I have had zero interference issues. My actual question was whether anyone had managed to make this servo fit a 450 Pro tail servo mount!
 heyya 190 points
Depends on the mounting bracket, but mostly you need to cut away bulk of plastics on the side. Also, you need to drill bracket for mounting hole, as this one has a single hole in the center whereas most bracket in implemented for dual hole provision. You had no EMI (Electo-Magnetic Interference), mostly casued by switching circuitry? You think I need to send mine back to hobbycity? I do not like this part at all, creating blinking lights, tells me the oversight/carelessness of the designer.

maybe you're using an FM system that's particularly susceptible to EMI, or even a weaker 2.4g system. I think the $pektrum RX's are not great at rejecting interference, and also more prone to brown-outs, since they require quite a high minimum voltage. I would not try using this servo with an ESC that only has a linear BEC, and you might benefit from using a separate UBEC in that case.

The servohorns are super, Thick, strong and flexible. I would like to buy them allone, for my other Turnigy MG930. I dont find servohorns with does realy fit. This are the first one. All other are to lose, Futaba does fit, but to lose. Is there the possibility to bay them?
 BernardoUruguay 259 points
They aren“t here. They are not supposed to bring them according to CS.

Could this servo be used in a heli tail?

BMS 966 DMG seems to have unusual plastic mouldings below the mounting points. Are these removable for standard mounting? Is there and alternative mounting system?
 SLOW STIK 53 points
If you look at the picture you can see that there are several mounting possibilities.. I would just pick which one I needed and cut off the rest ..
 Mogli73 6 points
ok. but do I have to cut them away??
 SLOW STIK 53 points
Yes ! Just cut away what is not needed with a dremel or razor saw. Be sure to leave proper bracing for strength ... Good to go !
 SLOW STIK 53 points
You may leave the other mounts in place if they are not in the way but that is extra weight......

First, it creates hugh EMI problem, causing both AR7000 and HobbyKing clone to blink. Fixed the interference problem with a magnetic. Performed bench test to detect premature failure with Telebee gyro; worked fine until it quit working. Discovered that all three wires were mysteriouly broken inside the servo, never seen anything like this. Resolder all three wires, it worked as expected. Installed on 450 body, as good as any expensive servo, but died within 2 minutes ground hovering test. HobbyKing send me an evaluation unit, and maybe that casued so much problems. I'm not paid to test crappy component HobbyKing sells, and I'd not touch bluebird servo with 10 foot pole, ever again.
