Will they be ok on 2s lipo..!
 Arxangel 909 points
No, they are rated at yvolts max. A fully charged 2S lipo is i.r volts, so there is a good chance you will burn them if you run them on a 2S directly.
PaulGT  9 points - 4/26/2013

Could i use 4 of these in a DLG ??
 Arxangel 909 points
Sure, they should do the job nicely. They are quite strong, I've measured the torque, and it is as stated - 1.3kg at 5 volts.

i have to replace two tail servos of a zephyr v70. is this servo suitable??
 Gary 3001 points
Think these will be a bit small, look for a 10/12g servo and ideally one with metal gears.
John  1 points - 2/1/2013

Can these servos be reversed? I want to use them on a cheap walkera flybarless heli but the gyro is not reversible.
 Gary 3001 points
You need to switch the servo reverser on the rudder channel of your transmitter to reverse the servo, once you have the servo working in the correct direction check that the gyro is now working in the correct direction,if not then turn the gyro upside down and this will reverse the gyro.
 dolphin-58 3 points
Sometimes you can reverse the direction of servo rotation. You must have experience in electronics and micro soldering iron. You open the servo, then desoldering the 2 wires that connect the motor to the circuit, solder it again but now one instead of the other. Then do the same thing with the 2-wire side of the feedback potentiometer, the central wire remains to the potentiometer cursor.Done, close servo and test it. This change should not be implemented to the servos without position potentiometer.

is it ok to use digital servo on tail rotor and normal servo on the rest of controls on a 450 heli ?
 Iron@Man 7 points
Yes...you can use a digital servo on the tail while using analog on you cyclic....just be certain to flip your switch on your gyro to (DS) this is the switch that allows you to use digital servo. One other thing to also do is turn down the delay pot to zero. Once you have done this....you'll be set....Good Luck Keep flying

bec-w 3 of these servos in a foamy, can i get away w a 1 amp 5 v bec?

thinking about using 3 of these with a hk 8-10 amp bec, notice turnigy plush might be a better choice because bec is 2 amps. all 3 are going to be working hard (3d)

not having any problem powering 3 hxt 900s w it.
 DarrenMc 63 points
You won't have any safety margin, moving full throw at high speed on a servo tester I've seen these reach 500mA draw. A 2A BEC would be safer.

Hello there im trying to match a PowerHD D65HB servo with an Assan GA250. My problem is that the Assan settings are 1520/333,250 or 70 and the servo is 1520us/20ms. I understand that running a lower frame rate than the servo's specs can play havok...not sure which setting i should use. Yoshi.
 Alex 2 points
Don't even try to use this servo with GA-250. My died after 3rd time connecting the Lipo. I was glad, that it happened on my desk and not in the air. The servo is nothing.
 solentlife 117 points
Well my GA-250 works with these servos ..... and I just left the Gyro on it's default setting. I'm using these servos in a Parkjet with the Gyro to help counter torque via aileron.
 grichard55555@u 221 points
An aileron is much less demanding then adjusting for constantly changing torque of a helicopter tail due to the swash plate changing pitch every rotation while hovering and flying. Not to mention the loads of pitch change slowing down the motor/ engine.

Hello, The gears are differents between this 2 servos.
David  46 points - 6/3/2011

Just got mine today, Observations: It does seem to work fine but cannot see any higher speed of rotation on this beyond what an Eflite S75 will do and once again... same geartrain! Yup, another S75 with digital PCB stuck in it! Next, servo case is held shut with TWO screws instead of four, whoa! Other 2 corners are just blanks. Lastly, thank god the gears are GREASED in this but I really wanna see QC STICKERS on this stuff like they used to do with $4 HXT500s back in 2008. Those suckers are still working too! I see way too many corners being cut due to "Bernanke bucks".
 David 46 points
Forgot that someone else mentioned the thinness of the control arms and I have to agree these are very thin like the 3.7gram servos. I'm having mixed feelings about putting this on a new King 4 tail. I'll give it a shot, any trouble at all and I'm going to start hunting for something from another country. The fact that I got the SAME damn gears as those HK15168's which all ****ped on me and NOW I'm gonna depend on this to hold the tail yet I got the same gears as a $2.39 servo... think I just got scammed AGAIN! Had enough of this.
 David 46 points
Bottomline: This stuff is ALL coming off the same assembly line with a few "modifications". Best thing to do would be buy the cheapest ones they've got and go hunt metal gears for them.
David  46 points - 5/22/2011

Next Q: I just bought 5 HK15168 servos. Based on specs, figured it was a CLONE of the Eflite EFLRS75 servo (Blade, etc.) and damn I was RIGHT! It's an exact clone, I can even move the gear trains back/forth. Okay, so we go DOWN 1.5grams with this and UP 300kg in thrust with these AND at the same time still use plastic gears? Being that all of us are throwing these into rotaries, my Q is... how realistic are the HK claims with respect to specs? Next, someone on here claimed these are NOT true digitals: How do you determine this... by the circuitry on the PCB? Can you determine it by looking under hood and what CHIP am I trying to eyeball? Oh yeah... why does the King 4 come with a standard servo on the tail instead of a semi-decent digital yet it works fine? Possible these are too good for said heli? How detrimental is it that I have a digital on the tail anyway?
 JoeHeli 85 points
It depends some gyros like the GA-250 must have a digital servo. Most gyros you can use analog or digital some have a switch to set for analog or digital, if switch is on digital it will burn up a analog servo. A fast analog servo will work with most Gyros.
 David 46 points
Really? Didn't know you could get away with "fast analog" as a substitute, interesting factoid! Okay, I am an asshole... these HK15168's I bought... left cyclic moves 20% more than the right cyclic and becomes completely unmanageable at the end of the /- curves so I screwed myself on that $2.29x5 purchase! The big Q now is... How do these stack up in speed/travel with each other? Do they match so as to work together well under a ccpm swashplate? Do they tear out easily? What about PowerHD DSM-44's, any good? Very little is known on them after over 2 yrs. of availability! Would any of you not-so-noob types recommend these for a CCPM swash? Cuz that's where I need them to go.

servo potente y rapido, lo utilio para aviones Indoor con 1 servo en alerones.
 e_lm_70 426 points
Why change gears on a 5$ servo ... jut buy another one if your break a gear ... if this happen too often, buy a servo with metal gears
 Maida 1 points
the HXT500 i dont know but the HXT900 seems no good
 David 46 points
ONE answer is enough, thanks Joe!
 David 46 points
Because they sell 500/900 gears, these are going onto several Blades and a King 4, I'm gonna rip 'em up. 89c vs. $5 for the whole servo... FIGURE IT OUT, genius.
 David 46 points
I also don't believe I need metal gears for the tail control.

Hello can anyone tell me what is the framerate of this servo 760 or 1520s
 andrew_stick 22 points
1520uS
 kyapkk 41 points
1520us / 333Hz or 250Hz? Anyone know?
 David 46 points
Can someone elaborate on why this is important and what you're using the data for? To match a receiver output signal?
 yzguy 45 points
I am looking for this info to correctly set up a gyro. They say that the wrong settings will mess up your servo. Since I can't find it for this one, I won't get it.
huntish  12 points - 10/15/2010

whats the distance between the mounting holes.will it fit a trex 250

Yes. It will fit 250 heli

What is deadband? Does this one center well?
 multifreak 1 points
Deadband is the area in a servos range of movement where sensitivty to stick movement is reduced or lost. It was more of a problem seen in analogue servos.

When it will be back in stock?
 rubenmoniz 29 points
Just add them to the wishlist then turn on the reminder and you will get an e-mail warning when they are in stock, thats how I bought mine.
Clive_B  32 points - 6/6/2010

Would this be an OK tail servo for a 450 heli? thanks.
 Demon 197 points
Spec would suggest so although i would think it might over-work it a little... Take a look at the D922MG servo instead, little bit more expensive but i reckon its worth the investment.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 klemen7 12 points
Maybe it would be ok. I'm not a heli expert but i would take a look for MKS servos. They are a little bit more expensive but they are very strong en fast too.
Antonpo  147 points - 5/9/2010

It's a copy of the E-Sky 0508 digital servo. The body and rocking just the same.
 Shea 73 points
the esky servo is 7.5g and 1.6 kg torque at 0.12 sec at 5v.... not a clone
 Jackrr 224 points
All servos look pretty much alike.
 David 46 points
If this is TRUE Antonopo, then it will accept the gears from the HK15168 servos! EK-0508 and EFLRS75 servos are identical. Gear train anyway.
pilot  36 points - 5/9/2010

Is it a clone of Hitec HS65HB?
 Miles-away 510 points
I wouldn't say it's a clone. It's not that similar to the Hitec HS65. This one is slightly smaller and not that strong.

May be its PREORDER?! :)
 vinay2070 174 points
No, they were 5 in the stock, when I clicked on add to cart, the cart showed 0. The stock fell so fast that it made my internet feel slow LOL *)

Maybe a good tail servo for HK 250..???
 Daniel 90 points
I use this on a HK250 and a Trex 250, works great.

I receive 4 DS65HB this day
I control all and all is functionnal.
I measure the main parameters under 5V, the result is :
Mass 6.7gram with no arm
Setting time 0.2 seconds for 73 measured (using fast camera to measure)
As you see it is not fast as 0.09sec
Static angular error 1.2=plus-0.6
For torque 322gramxcm => angular error 2.3
For torque 460gramxcm => angular error 4.4
For torque 1012gramxcm => angular error 8.6

Got some of these for my plane from another source, and they work great. Been looking for them. It does suck stripping out $5 servos when you crash, but they are super light.

At 5V (on a Turnigy 5A 8-40V SBEC) the Turnigy DS480 is faster, but with the DS65HB at 6V the difference seems minimal. Topservo.
