standard size, 1/4-32. I have one it works well. But i prefer the cut delrin ones you put in the crankcase over this model. Still has a possibility of piston damage. You can use it on glow.

Screws into the head of your 'nitro' engine and stops the piston form reaching the top so you can undo or do up bold that are on the crank. Saftly. without damaging things.
 loren 53 points
it is used to set timing with degree wheel

This is the WORST way to lock your crank. Get the engine locking tool instead.
 derfel 49 points
Mark as a mechanic I agree with you but I think this tool is not for lock the crank, instead I think is great for discover where the maximum stroke of the piston is reached. However for making works on the engine where the crank is not to be forced it may work (by example stopping the piston while setting up the valves of a 4S Glow engine)

I have used another brand for 25 years to lock engine for installing clutches on heli's and props on planes. Never had a problem with it. Like all tools you must use it with respect and know when to quit tightening. I have never damaged a piston yet and have took many heads off to see.
When it comes in I am going to order one. Looks like possible nylon tip andd mine is aluminum. Also I paid $30 US Dollars 25 years ago. Really good value for money. WAy to go HK

Makes removing the flywheel a breeze! A must have
 Rusty- 6 points
Yeah man, its not the 'best' way speakign for your engines sake. Though is the quickest and easiest. Screw in and your good.

Piston stopper? can some one explain?
 fatman 60 points
It fits in the Glow Plug hole to stop the piston rising. It is used to mount car or boat flywheels to IC engines without damaging the engine.

Yes for nitro engines

HaHa Reminds me of hollywood court case where one expert says he dun it and the other expert says he didn't dun it. Just like here, one expert says for gas and the other says its for glow! So, what is the final conclusion? Gas OR Glow? Or Both?

only for glow engines

It makes me sure the piston is down.
