Nice motor this one! Tested it on my F86 Sabre and it has a very nice performance with the 64mm Fan with Carbon tube (note the blades). The speed is fast enough and it climbs on vertical. The efficient looks good too for an edf system. Regards

i bought this motor to run on a 30A ESC for my F-14. Motor is rated at 27.5A, so assuming that i dont full throttle it should be ok. After installation i put in a turnigy watt meter, at 6/10 of throttle it was showing 31A which is more than what my esc can handle. My question is if motor is rated at 27.5A it shouldn't draw current greater than what its rated??? im running it on 3s 2200mah, so can anyone shed a light on this plz.

hi can i use this motor on 45a esc 14.4v 64mm fan or must use less kv?
 SirBiggles 27 points
I have been doing tests on these motors. Check the forum for my EDF motor stats post. In my opinion this motor would burn up very quickly on that setup it would even be above the max amps for that esc.

i think u cant use this motor with this battery setup, the max cell of this motor is only 3cell and it will burn in 4 cell :)

Still new at rc and thinking of getting an A 10 warthog 50mm (kit) Would these fit or what should I look for ?
 FYP28 16 points
just reviewed the a10 warthog kit and found out that this motor will not fit to the 50mm EDF included in the kit, you will need a 22 size motor to fit on a 50mm edf and this is a 26 size motor. hope it helps... :)

The stock motor of my Art tech eurofighter is toast. Would this be a good replacement? Also, does it come with a "plug" that fits in the rotor? Or how else do I fit the slim shaft in the rotor?

I have a F-18 blue angel EDF. Now it has a 4300 inrunner with a 5 blade fan unit. It's 64mm. Do you think this motor will work and give me more power i'm strugleing to keep the speed on turns. Thanks
 SirBiggles 27 points
Yes this motor will be quite suitable for this plane. I have already replied to your other query about this. I reckommend the 4800 KV version but you may have a ***r performance LIPO.

I just tested this motor with a 30A esc and hit 31A at 5/8ths throttle. Are the specs listed for 55mm fans?
 Matthew 8 points
Well, I'm baffled. All good reviews, and I apparently get a defective motor??? Set up to test on a 64mm, 5 blade edf. 40A esc, 30C 3s Rhino 2150mah battery. Motor burnt out at 27A, 315 watts. Thanks for nothing??

I have a PZ Habu that's motor went south. If I run this one on 3S it should spin the Habus fan close to the same as the stock lower KV motor at 4S correct? I know it will draw more amps etc. but my math is correct right?
 H-KING_SCOTT 5161 points
This is for a 55/64mm fan, high kv, you ideally want a motor rated for 70mm fan [larger fan means more amps]

What is the diameter of the frontend? 26mm seems to be the main body diameter - right?
 magnusEl 1215 points
Yes, 26mm is the rotating can. The front end is 20mm.

I'm currantly running this motor in the fly cat model in the supplied 54mm edf. The model preforms well although this set up is a power hungary deal and fly times on a 1500mah battery are limited to around 3 minutes. I'm about to try the zippy 1800mah battery as suggested for the model, hopefully looking at 8 min flights. all in all I'm happy with the motor, the price was great, and delivery time was impessinly short arriving in Australia within a week of ordering.

Excellent motor bought to upgrade the Mini F16 with a Wemotech microfan. Motor mounts perfectly in edf unit.

3 stars as it is advertised as shipping with both 2.3 and 3.0mm shafts. It has arrived with only the 3.0mm shaft and now I have to go searching for a 3.0mm adaptor for the microfan....very, very, very, very, very annoying and inconvenient may i say. If i had known only the 3.0mm shaft would arrive I would have purchased the EDF unit with the 3.0mm adaptor!

Akin to false advertising - if you advertise that the motor comes with both shaft sizes - SHIP IT WITH BOTH SHAFT SIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
