can i use 30amp ESC and 3cell 2200mah 20c lipo battery?
 DK-Flyer 61 points
Yes, 3s, whatever size bat you like. You could even use a 20amp esc.

I use it with 45A hobbywing esc with fan, 3S 2200mah 20c, screams along

YES NOT A PROBLEM I WAS USEING IT WITH A 30AMP AND RAN FINE , BUT DIDNT GET TO MUCH POWER FROM THE 7 BLAD FAN SO I HOPED IT UP TO A 4S BATTERY AND DIFFERANT MOTOR SYSTEM.

How are the shaft/s located in motor. The 2 supplied, can be swapped. ie. 2.3dia, or 3.0 dia.? They would need different sized bearings!
 magnusEl 1207 points
The 2,3mm shaft is 3mm, exept for the last ~12mm that is grinded down to right diameter. No need to change bearings.
There is a grub screw at the bell that must be removed, then it has been easy (at lest for me) to grab the shaft with a plier (not a wire cutter!) and rotate/pull out the shaft. When installing the new shaft, be sure the grove is in the right place, so the grub screw sequre the shaft properly.

Anyone tried 4S on this motor? Can it be used for 70mm fan? Appreciate some clarity. Cheers!
 SeaComms 207 points
Since its rated as max 11v, I wouldnt recommend trying it on 4S. Also, with a max rated current of 12.9 amps I would say its very under rated for a 70mm fan. As a comparison, I have a 63mm fan running a 3800kv motor on 3S - it draws 53 amps static and about 35 amps in the air, for a top speed of around 170km/hr from a small 500 gram delta wing jet.

I TRED IT ON A 7 BLADE AND MOTOR GOT HOT I WOULD NOT DO 4S ,STICK WITH THE 3S ,IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE FAN YOUR USEING ALSO
