To be used with Assan hack module or similar. Standard attachment fits inside most FM/AM antenna locations. A good modification for anyone wanting to use the DIY or hack 2.4ghz systems with the antenna in the standard location.
Not for any DIY install, only for ASSAN. If you use this in a Corona and most other brands you will have no range on your Tx. It is reverse design at the connection antenna /fitting
I made the mistake to buy two of them for my FrSky DIY module. There are two types of antennas, male and female. FrSky, HK andCorona has female antennas. Assan has male antenna. You can se that FrSky antenna has a tiny hole at the bottom of antenna base. That is a female one.
thx for the reply but pls correct me if i am wrong what i can see in the photo that the male part of this cable is for the antenna and the femail part is for the module side and for FRsky as u said the antenna is female and the module is male, so where is the mistake then ?!
This is a common problem when a product are both male and female in one end. The antenna cable is the one thats count not the brass threaded outer part
No, I bought this one too. Can only be used cutting off the fitting and solder the antenna. The antenna is totally different, but making a hole and using a tiny bit of hot glue will do the job. The antenna has no thread. Search the internet for electronic parts shop to get what you need Sheko. In Sweden we have ELFA.se. USA got to have plenty of them.
it will be too hard to hold all these amount of cables in the Tx :D i guess i will go for removing the original antenna cable from inside Tx and keep it empty and work with the module's antenna to avoid any interference
I like the idea of making the SMA pigtail available. Just one thing though. It would be a nice feature to be able to buy a pigtail with a straight connector as well. During my rebuild of my Tx I found out that a straight connector could have been easier to implement. Another thing that could be improved in this product is by using a thinner lead, like the one used in the plug-in antenna combo (PRODUCT ID: ANT-EXT-W). It would make it even easier to curl the lead around inside the Tx.
As an additional item wished to be found here at HK-web is a spare screw-on antenna (the same ones delivered with stick-in and hack module).
You are right Kim. The lead is far to stiff and we could use spare antennas for both Assan (male) and the Corona, FrSky and Hobby King modules (female). They look the same but are not. See my post above

2 thumbs up!
This is a great antenna adapter for any 2.4ghz DIY install. The long threaded antenna connector makes for perfect easy install on plastic or metal case radio's. The Corona DIY install, cut off the 90 degree connector, strip the coax accordingly and solder to the module. The measured loss is <.025 dB.
I would like to order it but do not see the correct image as to how it will look on my Tx. The wire will be left out and inserted at some place inside the tx??? An image would help Hobby King, thanks Deepak

1 thumbs up!
Good solid contruction. Long neck threaded area allowing protruding through any tx.
Warning for those thinking of using with other brands though: The tx side is male SMA with nut, antenna end is female threaded end. This means it's normal polarity not reverse (RP-SMA) like most 2.4 GHz equipment.
