I want to know how big the 'small' end is as well as it has to fit int a 'tube mounting' on my jet. 18mm centres on bolts ?(Its not28mm thats for shore). Can some one measure it please..

Hi. I would like to buy this motor to upgrade the EF2000 jet. Which esc should I buy? Will I need anything else (bolts ecc)? Thank you.
 Soul Reaver 9 points
Sorry, nobody can tell me about the esc? Thanks.
 Kellyann 16220 points
Soul Reaver it has a Max Current (A)22.6. So you can get away with a 20A esc but I would use a 30a.
 Kellyann 16220 points
Soul Reaver no it is all inc. You need 4 self tappers to attach it to you Plane.
 Soul Reaver 9 points
sorry, what are "self tappers"? will the original ef2000 propeller be ok, or I need a new one?
Jacob  46 points - 3/27/2012

Yes does any1 know do you have to use 11.1v or will it work on 7.4v because I'm using on a airboat with 5x5 prop n 18amp esc but only want to use 7.4 not 11.1 if motor will run of just 7.4 please let me know thanks

Has anyone used this motor on a prop jet? I have an F-22 scratch build and would like to use this with a 4.75x4.75 prop.
 zac077 6 points
this is a edf jet motor ...but if u want u can use it also whit 4.75x4.75 prop...just put a hk 60a esc and pay attention that your plane dont be up 600g....it will fly perfect
 RonRC 1991 points
Zac, that is the prop I intended to use, but with a 30A ESC and my plane is just over 300g. I wanted to know if anyone has used this for a propjet.

What is the diference of this motor and the Turnigy 2615 EDF Outrunner 4000kv??
 dedy_r450 19 points
2615 has 26mm for diameter, 2815 has 28mm.
(see the picture)
 magnusEl 1207 points
2615 use a 20x15 mm stator, and this 2810 is using a 22x10 mm stator.
 Moonpark 9 points
Is there a Mounting Kit for it?
 majik01 2640 points
Moonpark - no mouning kit for this motor as this is an EDF BL that goes into a 55 or 64 mm EDF housing.

I confess that I did not believe in their strength, but is very strong and has great speed. The delivery was quick and product arrived without any damage.

I got one if this motor for my EF200 64mm EDF and it barely could fly so i replaced it for a new unit from HK. now i just put it on a 10 blades 50mm EDF of a mini F18 and i have the same problem, it pulls 200W on a 3S 2200mha 25C bat (just for testing) but it doesn't have the power to get the 300g plane flying. so i don't know whats wrong with it? for it only 2 crowns on overall could be a fluck but now I'm afraid to order another one.

Ok did more testing on this motor and no powerfull enough for the 64mm EF2000 also no good for the 50mm 10 blade impeller EDF from rccastle, tried diferent C 3s lipos with same result no power until I try a 4s lipo and only then the miny F18 flew. It may work better on a 4 or 5 blade 50mm EDF.
