Can someone give me a little help.
I just ordered 2 of those. One works fine, while the second does not want to go to high speeds. Gets a little shaky and a lot wormer then the good one. The shaft spins with no problem when moved by hand.
How do you take the motor apart? I removed the locking washer but the shaft does not want to come out.
after you remove C Clip it has tiny washer which somtimes goes in the C clip notch and locks it, with pointed twizzer remove this washer from the shaft and pull the can from other side, it will come out,
I am interested in knowing what the measurements are on the screw hole spacing. I am looking for a brushless motor to replace the Mabuchi FF-030PK which has screw holes in a radius of 5mm from the shaft (the screw holes are 10mm apart.)
Oh I see. You're including the shaft length in the motor size description. So the motor dimensions without the shaft is 13.9mm x 17mm, and with shaft 13.9mm x 22mm.
I bought 2 motors, as in my case shaft is comming from other side, not as showen in the picture. itried to reverse it but, it is fixed with some super glue, and very soft. dont try u will ruin the motor
Good quality motor with reasonalbe output and thrust. Nice and very less noisy. Ball bearings seem to be good quality. However lacks air ventilation which makes it a little warm. Just ensure that it gets good airflow.

I have purchased one of these motors for experiments. It performs maximum thrust with GWS 5030 propeller. I use this motor with TURNIGY Plush 6A ESC. The test data provided by HK is real. So, I think, this is a very good motor for small foamy parkflyer. I'm planning to buy some of these motors later for another projects.

Received one motor yesterday and tested it with different brushless controllers (amongst others Turnigy Plush 6A) and GWS 5030 prop at 2s 360mAh Rhino pack and a 2s 5000mAh Turnigy pack for comparison.
The motor is slightly unbalanced, but nothing of a real problem, which is stuttering between half and full throttle at most runs. As I tested several controllers I doubt that the motor has a broken winding or something like that.
When it runs normally, which occaisonally happens, it draws 3A at the Rhino Pack and 3.4 A at the big pack. Which is still well below the stated 3.9A. The motor gets very hot, untouchable after 10secs or so. Different timing didn't change the current by more than 0.1A at Plush 6A.
Conclusion: If you are lucky to receive a non-broken motor, don't expect it to have 140g of thrust, I think 100g or less is reasonable.

Shaft comes out the mount side, opposite of the picture. There is no way to reverse it. I just wasted $15...
