Is it possible to run this with a gasoline engine, specifically the OS GT15HZ, or does it need modifications? Please only answer if you have experience with gas helis.
Would Futaba 520 gyro(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9746 __Futaba_GY520_Gyro.html) and Futaba S9254 tail servo (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9752__Fu taba_S9254_Digital_High_Speed_Torque_Helicopter_Serv o_1_38kg_06sec_49g_.html) be a good fit for this heli? How about HK sourcable servos for cyclics and throttle?
Hi. I received my TZ-V2 .90 Size Nitro 3D Helicopter Kit
almost without damage (SA) but fortunately i did repair the damaged part myself. I am not that technical. Why is the rest of the parts not in a kit available. Please help with the part numbers of the rest of the kit best for this heli.(Nitro engine (.90),Servos (standard size),Radio Gear : Gyro/Rx
Rx Battery : (UBEC with 2 Cell Lipoly),680~710mm Blades
You will be my hero if you can help me. Thanks
Just got this kit from the Aus warehouse. All good till I tried to put it together and discovered the tail drive belt is for .50 size heli. HK online support worse than useless and didn't seem to get that it is a part in a kit. Heli looks like a great kit but if you have a problem, you are on your own. Be warned.
hello, this kit is very good for a conversion with ZENOAH 23cc. I did it myself with carbon fiber 2,5 mm and it is a great ride. very good kit. I recommend.
yes the 23 cc will fit no problem but i would go with the 26cc engine unless you only plan on sport flying then stick with the 23cc helibug conversion kits are the best
Hi guys,I would like to bye a V290 nitro chopper, the info said i allso need engine servos radio gear, battery and blades. Dose it not come complete?
Cheers Gil
no it comes in a kit form you have to put it together, which is good because when its time for repairs youll know how to rebuild it.by 2 kits one for spare parts it comes out cheaper that way
if your a new pilot use standard speed servos when learning how to fly the faster servos will get you in trouble quicker slower servos are more forgiving so if you put bad inputs into the control it wont react as quick if you make a mistake
Hello, I'm more than interested for this heli and I checked the spare parts for this but.........can't find in the list the canopy as a spare part. I find this one of the most important items as spare part.
Looking at buying this .90 here but really concerned about what parts will enter change with this model , if any others will.. Any help out there for me..
Hi! I'm thinking about trying a nitro helicopter and from the reviews this would be a good choice for the money. I have a question though. I'm used to the electric helis and usually they either have a BEC integrated into the ESC or you add an external UBEC connected to the main battery if you have an OPTO ESC (or want to run at 6v and the ESC's BEC is only 4.8v). In RC nitro airplanes you don't use a BEC at all, but a 4.8v or 6v battery pack (NiCd or NiMH). In the required items for this kit it specifically mentions using a UBEC w/ a 2S LiPo. Why would I want to use the UBEC in place of a 6v battery pack if I'm using a nitro engine instead of going all electric? Is there an advantage such as weight or power? A NiMH battery pack can handle power surges much better than a UBEC, so wouldn't that be a better choice?
Used a Life 6.6volts or a 4.8 NIMH (2000 mha or higher). You don't need to mess around with Lipo batteries and UBEC. Adding a UBEC to a Nitro Heli is asking for more problems.
Do trex 700 parts fit this heli? thinking of getting this as a first 90 and upgrading to an 800 sized ship (with the longer tail boom) as a camera ship? has any one done or tried this?
cheers
Greg
This not a question, this statement:
Check ALL bearings in the kit!
In my kit I washed out the majority of bearings.
They did not turn...
Be not able to wash out? - Change.
What servos are people running in your TZ-90 ? What servos are on this site that are good value & suitable. PLEASE - ONLY people with experience with this heli reply. No 12 year olds replying or I'll tell your mummy on you !
I'd buy this TZ-V2 .90 Size Nitro 3D Helicopter Kit and the BAE Hawk - Red Arrow 70mm EDF Jet kit - White (EPO) KIT from AUS if you sent them. Wish someone from Hobby King would reply ! ! !
Has anybody tried a cheap 90 engine in one of these such as the Super Tigre G90 ? It has pretty substantial cooling fins. Maybe using Castor Oil lubricant to carry some heat away ?
I have only used expensive engine in this heli. The problem is gearing, will need to change the pinion or the main gear. The super tiger has a much lower rpm range than say an OS90. It should work if you fly it gently and run it very rich. I would expect supertiger will produce less power than is ideal for a large heli. But it should work fine for simple flights, and hovering.
Cheers Mate.
my heli arrived yesterday safe and sound will make a great winter project. ive searched the web looking for a .90 nitro engine for it .as hobbyking does not sell them.we dont have any model stores in town and being confined to a wheelchair i do most of my buying online any help locating a site that sells these engines iwould be very greatfull thankyou
Received TZ-V2 90 today, it was well worth the wait!! I have been flying helis for 4 years electric and nitro and find this heli the best buy and the Quality top notch! Highly recomended.5 stars and more! BC Canada.
Simplesmente incrvel a qualidade deste helimodelo, a precisao nas peas de metal, o frame muito bem acabado, otima escolha e com preo super acessivel. Tao bom quanto um T-rex 700 ou Raptor 90. Marco Tulio MG
Definitely best bang for bucks. Excellent finish quality on alloy parts, everything fits together without any modification. Only one thing...you must check every screw, because on mine kit there was no loctite used anywhere.
