Ball Link too tight. Is there any tool I can use to re-size a little bit? I have a 4.7 ball end reamer but too small when I tried...Any suggestion? Thanks...
You want them too be a little tight not loose.dom't want to Have a the chance of one popping off during flight. They will loosen up after a few flights but should still be tight but able to move and have some resistance.
They only sell kits from what i'm aware of, best bet if you want a rtf is to buy one off of an rc group sight. Used rtf they sell between 250 and 400 depends what setups they have on them
Hi! Can someone tell me if I can mount a "GAS" engine in this heli? I know that are some "Gas" engine to TZ-V2 .90, can I mount the same in the TZ-V2 .50? For me TZ-V2 .90 is too big. Thank you
Would a Futaba S3003 servo work well for allerons and throttle? Ive used these servos in my racing and bashing rc cars for years and ive only had 1 strip out of the 15 i have so i trust them. They are Operating Speed (4.8V): 0.23sec/60 degrees at no load
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.19sec/60 degrees at no load
Stall Torque (4.8V): 44 oz/in. (3.2kg.cm)
Stall Torque (6.0V): 56.8 oz/in. (4.1kg.cm)
What do you guys think?
I've just ordered this and my first heli. Can anyone recommend what servo I can use. I prefer futaba, hitec or align, I just don't know which kind. I know it should be standard servo. Pls help. Thanks
Anything that is over 200 oz-in of torq would be enough find a standard servo with 5 stars or 4. Speed it doesn't matter since ur learning u don't need super fast speed.
Hi gys,
Please can somebody tell me the correct length of the tail linkage rod on the TZ50 v2. In the manual it says 640mm but I suspect this is incorrect.
Many Thanks
Mark
Hey guys, have any of you converted one of these to electric.
It flys great as a nitro, I love the smell and sound but not the mess. I'd like to use all hk parts for the conversion. Could anyone suggest motor, esc and battery. Also I understand a mount needs to be made for the motor. If you have done this and don't mind sharing maybe you could post a picture with some dimensions. This a great helicopter and want to keep flying it but under electric power.
Thanks in advance
What do you think about these parts? What would you change? What would be a good gyro and servos(cyclic/tail/throttle) for this? For receiver, do you recommend LIPO BEC or NiMh battery? Does the typical 6mm hex starter shaft work? Thanks
Well, it depends a lot in what type of flight you're going to do. But in terms of a mild 3D (rolls, loops, funnel, backwards and really slow piroflips) I would recommend these setup:
for the gyro, I would install the turnigy Mini Mems from here* the tail servo should be one in teh range of 0,08 minimal speed, such us Futaba S9254 buyable here.
for the three cyclic servos I have no doubt the best ones are TURNIGY 1257TG, but beware, they will only work properly with a branded reciever. Tried with an orange futaba FASSt compatible and did not work.
FOr Rx I recommend a Lipo BEC these size of Helis use big servos and draw Amps really good. A 2200mAh 2s 30C will suffice, and a 10-15A BEC like the ones you find here.
Hope it helps
The pros and cons of using a Governor are self steemed, this is I use it in my TT-X50, but I don't use any with my Venture CP30. If your flight style is F3C I would use it but in max rev mode for the engine not to work excesively forced but being able to control the throttle with the Tx. For F3N I would use aswell a governor, but in Governor mode, this works controlling the servo throttle measuring the engine rpm's and correcting the servo position accordingly to the previously programmed RPM's. It's something the Cruise Control in actual cars.
Has anybody experienced the tail bellcrank breaking in normal flight with this heli? Four weeks ago mine hit the deck after the tail blew out and went into fast piro's and flipping. For the life of me I can't work out whether it was my orange receiver losing signal or a mechanical failure. All I know is that one minute i was doing beautiful flips and stall turns, then the next the tail was spinning furiously and popping in and out of inverted. It seemed like the tail lost control first then mayhem followed?? Not sure really...
Let see, receiver battery, 4 servo over 70 oz of torq. At least .18sec. You can get away with 3 servo of that spec and other servo for throttle with less torq and speed. You will need gyro with tail servo combo. Fuel line, filter, clunk line, OS 50 hyper with Align muffler. :P 12v starter with starting wand, remote glo igniter, igniter hmmm fuel with at least 18 percent of oil. I reather go for heli fuel. Any 6ch radio that does 120 swash mixing. I'll pick Frsky module and receiver and use it with a 9cap super made by futaba. That radio costed me only 100 bucks used. :) Oh you need main blades 600mm I would select Mavrikk pro blades. Contact me jcer93705*hotmail**** I'm doing a build in few hours and will take many picture. Peace
Never buy a helicopter back to non-recognized brand, buy this helicopter for over 1 year and I could barely do like 8 flights at most, (1 flight and something is damaged) I damaged the main gear 3 times , the tail rotor, tail unit housing, tail rotor hub (1 screw came with are 2), the clutch bell, starter coupling, several bearings, 90% bolts, starter coupling, spindle shaft to the blade factory came twisted (errors not mine, but to manufacture) he had bought coal Turn igY main blades and **** exploded and turned the heli and buy parts, with all that money I would have purchased a Align Trex 600 and I would be doing even inverted flight, really are very very, very, very, very bad. Get what you pay.

hi Knight, you mite find this very interesting...try and get hold of a seized o.s. hyper
(shouldnt cost much) for the project.

what size four stroke would i need i want something that is a little cheaper at first to get my feet wet with flying this heli before i move to a nitro and start 3d. I plan on ordering a electic and nitro so i have both.
I would encourage you to fly this heli with an two stroke. If you're learning heli's then you should learn with a motor you would use in practice. This heli is also geared for a 50 nitro, so if you do choose a four stroke you'll have to get a different pinion
Hi kevin, could you tell me if the belt system is actually as the pictures show, or is it like the e-version of this...in the pictures the tail is driven with second gear train then belt, but the electric has belt directly driven from auto gear under maingear. thanks for your time.rc heli resource has the version im talking about.mike
it's worth waiting for, an awesome kit for the $$. Lots of CNC alum parts and it fly's incredible. I have a dozen hours on mine of 3D and it appears to be holding up great.

Hi Guys,
I have bought the kit(hasn't arrived yet) and just about everything except for a couple tools as this is my first nitro heli and was wondering if someone could tell me a few sizes. 1: main shaft diameter, 2: ball link diameter. Also will I need a head speed governor? I won't be flying 3D. Thanks. Richie's RC
hi thomas, im considering one of these, as im pretty hard on my heli's as well, how well does the belt system hold up on this one? is it actually as pictured with the intermediate drive train? thanks, www.link
NINOS129.I had a bad crash and added up cost of replacing all parts needed to get this bird in top condition again, it was going to cost me about $150AU,so I decieded to spend $210AU and buy complete heli instead cause its cheaper in da long run.Very happy with the kit.

Using Spartan 760, Align DS610's, OS 50 Hyper etc. Fly's suprisingly well and is very axial. Great hack or back-up heli. Recommended.
