Hi,BlindV,I am not capable of puting pictures on site and will get a friend to do this for me soon.I have had another idear which i hope suits this thread. When using BEC to power reciever if you have a brown out or overload on ESC or failure of the battery powering the EDF which i have seen many times model is destroyed in the ensuing crash . I have worked a cure for this is to power reciever with small NMH pack used for small models and those flown indoor, these packs are available in 200 and 400 maph.To make sure this pack stays charged use a voltage regulator 3 pin device to regulate power battery voltage down to 5 volts ,when you conect power battery it will charge reciever battery until power battery and you have fully charged reciever battery to land valuable model.Make sure you remove red wire from ESC to reciever. The good part of HOBBY KING FORUM is there is no abuse sarcasm Regards KenJack.

sound like a good idea, with that "battery backed up"small RX pack. would have given me some control over my foam Twister, when it ejected the battery during a high speed invented lowpass, with a following invented (too be) loop - witch ended in a leaf like jet, unpowered into the ground ;-) -luckily it was only a small foamy.

looking forward to those pictures.
Ken, how do you make those intakes, fans ?? - can you take some photos of it (the technic, when you got time for it). - i feel a need to start at i too, but would love to see how you do it first.

Blind Vision,
I am told by a friend of mine at the flying club that Ken and I were members of that Ken Jack has recently passed away. Last Saturday I believe.

He had some great ideas, and was more than willing to share them with anybody who would listen.

I got interested in thread since it brought up by you in another thread, but I think it's dead end because Ken Jack has not logged in since Aug 2010.

I've got a bunch of EDF's that are just laying around that I'd like to experiment with, because we currently can fly only with them few hours on Saturday mornings due to a few serial whingers in houses off in the distance from the field.

This might be the reason, as i wrote it was a reminder to myself to continue down this road too.
