Hi,
I broke the shaft on my Typhoon 2215 motor, it has a 3.17mm shaft but the part the goes inside the motor is only 3mm.

Do HK sell a replacement shaft?

thanks.

I've asked for this few months ago, nobody answered, so I've made my own MOD for this motor:

1. Replaced bearings from 3mm shaft to 3.17mm shaft (TR 28-30B 14A 1050Kv Brushless Outrunner, Turnigy e500 motors was taked as donors).

2. Shaft was replaced from 3mm partial 3.17mm (original), to 3.17mm (TR 28-30B 14A 1050Kv Brushless Outrunner)

3. Enlarged shaft mounting hole in motor bell from 3mm to 3.2mm.

After this, i can use normal 3.17mm shafts.

Sorry for my bad english.

Many thanks, you are clever/Wink

Unfortunitely I don't have a doner motor for the 3.17mm bearing and the TR 28-30B cost the same as the Typhoon. May as well order another Typhoon, or perhaps a motor that has spare shafts available.

Cheers

Well, the other motor I like, is Turnigy 2836 3700kv with 11T pinion, but there also is little surprise - inner part of shaft is 4mm diam., only outer part, where goes pinion is 3.17mm.
