Until I bricked my 80A SB, I was using it with "Auto" LVC, with a 4s setup on my 450 heli. When I was testing a failing battery pack, the data log shows the voltage dropping to 10.4v - i.e. well below 3v per cell - without the ESC cutting out. That suggests that the LVC function is not really working properly.

I had updated the firmware to the latest Hifei AHKA 2111 12MB 8002, and after half a dozen or so successful flights and data uploads, it stopped working. Now, instead of the motor beeping, it gives out a lower pitched gargling type of sound, and the ESC will not run the motor. It will no longer connect to the software. Since it's unlikely that I burned anything out - my last logs showed 18A peaks and max ESC temps of 34c - I can only assume it was the firmware that did it in. :(

I have the 60A...was wondering if I left the LVC setting on auto exactly what voltage is the cutoff point? Is it 9.0V for 3s lipos and 12.0V for 4s? Reason I ask is because I was thinking of using both 3 and 4 cell batteries at the field. 2200mah 25c 3s and 2650 25-50C 4s.

Thx Pascal for the upload. I just bought the 60A and was confused on which firmware was the newest. I see a few postes up Andrewju was trying to get the timeline down on what came out when.

So just to confirm the DTKA 2528 11MB 6004 is the newest firmware available? Which is Pascal's upload of Turnigy_1MV_60A(4A).DLC from pbe140863?

It looks like I bricked my Super Brain 20A by accidently updating firmware with no file selected. The USB Linker works, the Turnigy SuperBrainESC software works, but I am unable to connect to the ESC. I see the original firmware file in the ESC file section... how are folks uploading the firmware to an ESC that can not be connected to? Is there a command line executable to force the upload?

I am confused on how folks are unbricking the dead ESCs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,

Has anyone tried to make a summary of firmware versions available? I think it could be useful, especially if we could also point out specifics of different versions.

I have a Superbrain 60A ESC and it came with firmware DTKA 2528 11MB 6004.
On the product page at Hobbyking (under files tab) I found these firmwares:
DTUA A108 11MB 6000
DTKA 2111 11MB 6002

I'm not 100% sure, but I think these are older than the one in my ESC.

Now, is there anything newer available?

Yes, I just checked with my 80A SB - which to all intents and purposes is the same as the 60A, it just has more Mosfets (and I bought it instead of the 60A since it only weighs 2g more)

You could try setting LVC to 9v (3 lipo setting)since it seems like the voltage calibration on your unit may be off, if the logs are anything to go by. You might also experiment with different settings for current limiting. If it works with the lower LVC setting, though, you'll have to rely on timing your flights to avoid over discharging your packs.
