You can use the Turnigy 2830 with Hobbyking SS 30A. I know several people who use this and they are happy with it.

Johanneke
What is your opinon of the Easy Glider as a beginner's airplane?  What are it's stall tendencys. I presenty flying the AXN floater and think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but would like to go bigger in the near future.

Mike,

can't compare to other gliders this is the only one i've used
But i've used the multiplex tuning setup and that one has less power than the one i've listed above...

hope this helps a little ;-)

Hi Johanneke

Thanks for your quick response. Your motor set up is very helpfull and I will use it, but my big concern is the dreaded TIP STALL.  When the AXN stalls it's very gential and easy to recover from.  Some long wing gliders such as the Cularis and the Easy Fly stall in a maner that's difficult for beginners like myself. So the big question is does it tip stall easily.
 Thank you for your help.

Sorry for the late response, this setup doesn't really stall.
At least i haven't had issues with this setup, plenty of power.

At first i used larger propellor, but then the motor got to hot, with this setup you can fly more than 15 minutes with motor power (not full power) with a zippy 2200 3s1p.

Wow, slow forum.

I have a Tunigy 35-36C on my Easy Glider Pro and am very happy with it.
I was running a folding 10x6 but after bending it on my maiden flight/crash (due to radio short, loose bec wire going in to plug..  On new parts double check all plug connections!) I'm now running a 11x5.5 apc style prop.  On a 1800 Mah zippy I hardly ever need to go to full throttle and after flying 15 min the battery is usually less than half drawn.

Have fun!

btw, I started with a 2S 2200 but the HK 28/30 esc's don't like 2 cell batteries.  I ended up with a turnigy 30A and a 3 cell 1800.   Love the set up.

Oh, and for some thread jacking, here are some pics of the Easy Glider and a video from my 2nd maiden flight.

cheers.

Hi Johanneke
Where did you get the 9x6 folding prop? Also did you use the 16g servos on the alirons or somewhere else? Does the kit come with a spinner?Thumbs Up
