Hi all
Would it be possible for hk to look into stocking a 38cc-40cc, gas/petrol engine, ? around the 150 - 250$ range, 30cc is to small 50cc is too big you stock all other sizes just wondering if this is possible , if priced right this would be an instance success and would be ideal for most mid range large models i would be up to test a 38-40cc on my test bed and review it I have 2engines already 26cc ftl, which is great and a 52 cc which has yet to be installed and run I have a requirement for 2 38cc-40cc engine with rear carb, for a large dc3 i am building I am asking this as the price for 38cc in the uk is quite high, Example http://www.vulcanhobbies.co.uk/mintor-38cc-single-cylinder-petrol-engine-208 8-p.asp http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/p2467/Zenoah_ZG38SC_38cc_Petrol_Engine/p roduct_info.html |

I hear RCGF are now doing a 40cc twin. It's only a matter of time before the other manufacturers cotton on to the idea. A JC 46 EVO (twin) would be a hell of a tool.

nice that would great
but single cylinder 38cc would be best idea as it fit most of the large model scene on the market also to compete against zenoah engines i prefer cdi ignition to magneto, for ease of repair, i have require 2 38-40cc,for the DC3 i want to but by ziroli http://www.ziroliplans.com/ziroliplans/cat_frameset.html |

I think it may be better to look at power requirements rather than getting hung up on capacity. Scale props for that model would only need to be 17" three blade (it's just under 1/8th scale), which the DM33 that Hobbyking sell can turn easily. I've got one in my GeeBee R3, and on it's first startup on a home-made cansiter exhaust it span a 19x10" 2 blade very nicely. I've yet to tacho it but I'd estimate 7000rpm on it's very first gulp of fuel.

Agreed, but the DM33 produces more power than the Zenoah 38 that the Ziroli kit was designed for.

Then stick a pair of 50cc in if numbers are important to you. A modern 50cc lump is lighter than a Zenoah (MOST things are lighter than a Zenoah!) and would give you the numbers you desire. However, you still only need to be turning a 17" 3 blade prop for scale size, which the 33cc will do with ease.

I've got the actual weights and dimensions of the DM33 if you want them. In fact I think I uploaded a photo with dimensions and details on...
