I bought these when HK introduced them. I've only just got around to start using them when I found one of the screens kept switching off. I opened the goggles up to check for any loose connections. See pictures below. Opening procedure is to pull off eye cups, loosen the two phillip head screws and press the top front and gently prise apart. You can slip the head strap out. The side picture below shows the three plastic catches on the front of the bottom half, and one in the rear which you want to avoid breaking. The picture shows one of the viewing screen connectors unplugged. I lightly crimped them and put them back. So far so good. No doubt this can void your warranty but there are no void warranty stickers. I thought I'd show the pictures for people who may be interested to see inside.
Its surprising there's no ventilation holes for the receiver which can get quite hot. I'm almost tempted to drill some holes into the case. The receiver sits in guiding slots in the lower case (top in side picture, left in top pic). Note HK did offer to replace if returned but there would have been a long turn around time.
