What I don't understand is how these radar guns can be accurate? It only takes a moment of the person aiming the gun to miss the model and you instantly have a spurious reading. I'd be happier seeing an airspeed from a pitot tube than from some guy holding a radar gun and pointing it vaguely in the direction of a very fast model flying very fast circuits.

Radar guns and a super sleek model does not give the best results.
on broad instruments are the way to measure Airspeed, radar guns only gives you GROUND SPEED.
