How do you run retracts on a separate battery

Hi I have retracts wired in a Assan rx with a Y lead.

Question is how do I wire them in running on a separate power supply (battery).

Reason for this is when retracts happen to jamb it could drain the battery in a very short time and power to rx would be lost.

	THIS little receiver controled switch would be ideal. The only problem is it's out of stock at the moment, if you're not in a hurry backorder it. The other alternative I can think of that is in stock would be THIS one which is heavier and I'm not sure how much current it could handle but doubt it would be anywhere near as much as the other one if your gear jambs but at least it should isolate your other systems from your LG. 	Well I believe if you common the negative of the 2 batteries, then remove the positive wire from the receiver (to the retracts) and run that to the second battery, the retracts will only draw power from the second battery.

	That sounds very good any chance of a diagram so I can get my brain around all that. I'll explain what I am up to, Running the ignition of the RCG 26 on a 1500 NImh with kill switch and manual isolating switch. Servo's etc on a 2000 mah incl retracts and they are Lado. So I am going to install a FRS failover regulator with two 1300 2cell lipo's. So am I on the right track sofar, by the way the plane is a 69" BT Spitfire weight around 13 pound. I struggle with the electrical gear so advice would be much appreciated. Regards Paul

	Hopefully someone will point you to something more usefull but the instructions for the second mode for that switch where it's used with 2 batteries might help get your head around the common negative part at least. FOUND HERE.
