Hello everybody , my name is Manolis and Im from Crete Greece. Im the proud owner of two rc planes , a jetiger and a axn floater. The Jetiger was bought here in Greece , and the axn from Hobbyking. The jetiger was my first rc plane ( not a wise choice....) and as you can easily imagine it sustained a whole lot of damage .... from me trying to learn how to fly it... . Until one day i lost control...the plane fell from the sky from an altitude of about 50 meters and the front end of the fuselage broke into several little pieces . I then bought the axn and learned how to fly disently...but the jetiger was always in my mind!!! So one day i decided to fix it...
This is how it was done .... THE GREEK SOUVLAKI MOD with photos !!!

This is the front end of the fuselage .... i have inserted two souvlaki sticks (carefully) and then glued the pieces with epoxy...

This is a photo for you to understand how deep the souvlaki sticks went into the fuselage

I then replaced the broken canopy .... with a walkera cb180D canopy that i had ...

....and there you go .... the finished project
It is pretty strong and the cg looks ok.... I ll let you know when i fly the thing

My planes.....

I have to admit though that the heli canopy thing was not my idea .... i saw a video by giatrakos ( greek model shop ) who had replaced the canopy on a jetiger in the same way.... but the souvlaki mod .... THAT WAS REALLY BRILLIANT ....

I finally went to try the plane... actually it was quite nose heavy and needed a lot o speed to fly dissently . After it builded up speed it went great ....but as you can imagine the landing was a pain in the ...s. I had to land quite fast in order not to stall the plane .... and now the nose is all wrecked again.... I dont think that ill fix it again .... fairwell jetiger ... it was nice metting you!!!
