Hi all,
Just received my 9x this morning. I have the receiver fitted to the plane and servos, however when i turn the radio on and power up the plane the servos go way off centre, the rudder is to the left, both ailerons are at their limits! How can I centre these again on the 9x?

You should initially set up all your servos with no control rods connected - that way the servo will move to its natural limit.
If they are 'stopped' by the full allowed travel of your control surfaces, they will burn out. Check that you have a fixed wing model scheme on the TX - mine arrived with a Helicopter profile on it. No idea why, but I fly helis anyways so no biggie. Try again with everything disconnected and see if you have movement of the servos in both directions. If you do, all you need to do is re-fit the servo arms as close to centre as you can and subtrim them to where you need to be and thats basically it. If they are however still fully rotated off-centre, you may well have something set in your transmitter - if so, make a new basic fixed wing model (all servos move independent) and start from scratch. I have some helicopters. I crash less than I used to. I now have some fixed wing aircraft. I now crash a little more again! I also have Internet Explorer and can actually edit my signature ...

Also I have a question. Did you bind the receiver to the transmitter? If not the servos could do the same thing.

No - no truth at all.
Nothing whatsoever wrong with the 9X. I fly some VASTLY more expensive stuff than your helicopter with mine. I expect that they stock DX6i ... ahem! As for programming, that is very different for each helicopter - even the same types require different settings. Have a look on google etc where you will find masses of info. One thing - about the hobby shop - have you had a CCPM heli before? If not, they were rather naughty in selling you a 450 3GX as that is absolutely NOT a beginners helicopter and you will find it a nightmare! |
