Tunigy 1/16 SCT runs and dies after like 5 mins and when i unplug and plug back in the battery it runs for 5 mins and dies again... the steeering does not die just the motor...    nothing but issues with this truck..

Welcome to RC cars :)

What battery you running on it 2 or 3 cell ?

my buggy motor gets pretty hot on a 2 cell.

I would recommend getting spares, I bought 2 of the 1/16th buggies for my boy and me, Then spent another $100 on spares.

You pay for what you get unfortunately, I had a heap of issues to start with myself, felt like everytime i took them out something would break.

This still happens occasionally but i have spares on hand and its fixed for next outing, No waiting :)

i used a 2 and 3 cell. but 3 cell seemed to get hot and not last 2 long.

ive been into r/c cars for about 15 years.   usualy have no issues with Traxxas, Duratrax, or Tamiya

Did you work out what was wrong my sons is doing the same thing? But the motor isn't getting hot
