So I'm not the only one who has discovered that the charge currents are hopelessly wrong. Mine read 17amps out and was actually just under 12. I was running at 12 amps (real)into four parallel 5000mah x 5S on a parallel board for about 15 minutes and the thing died and is terminal. This thing is not a good buy.

How did you measure the current versus what the charger was indicating?

There's a range of amp meters available here. Any of them can be hooked up between a charger and battery.

I'm never wrong, once I thought I was but I was mistaken.

I checked it on several current settings using the Turnigy 130A Watt Meter and Power Analyzer and a Watts up. These had been previously checked against an accurate Current meter and were within 1% of true readings. The actual current was generally about 70 percent of the indicated reading. The Turnigy 130A Watt Meter and Power Analyzer and the Watts Up were placed in series with the charge lead going to the batteries. After the unit died completely I sent it for warranty and HK credited me with the full purchase amount.

The calibration feature only available to the Turnigy low end charger, all more expansive charger in Turnigy do not have calibration mode unless they willing to upgrade their firmware and i waited almost 2 years (yeah you pay more and get less), at least now confirm the Turnigy 200Wx2 and 400Wx2 did not have calibration. i bought my Turnigy 200Wx2 and use less than a month it already killed few of my batters due to over charge. this charger will overcharge, lower charge or unable to charge you battery. this all caused by the charger unable to detect the cell voltage correctly and i confirm it with my volt meter. honestly i will not buy Turnigy charger anymore unless there is a calibration mode build in.
