Hi- I need the wisdom of this group.
Have tried to fly a 40 size Escapade with the NTM 42-48 650KV motor (reglued one magnet) on a 80 amp Turnigy Plush ESC and a 13x8 prop on 5 cell battery. There are only three HXT 5010 servo's off the BEC and a 6 channel spectrun receiver.
Three times this combo has gone into squeal mode after only a few minutes of flying and causing resulting dead stick landing or crashes.
It tested out fine on watt meter (47 amp draw) and I have test bed run it up and down throught two 5 cell battery's till ESC was to hot to hold and the motor never missed a beat.
It was set for low timing Does this need to be changed?
Do I need a separate BEC for this servo load ?
What is the problem ?????
Any help or knowledge would be appriciated.

Thanks

One thing I have noticed is, that if the BEC circuit gets overloaded, the ESC becomes very hot at a small area. It is almost like a pain prick when you touch it at a specifik spot. It feels quite different from a generally hot ESC caused by high amps to the motor.

Sandman, yes you need to change the timing of the ESC .it kind of works backwards the more poles the higher the timing can be ran.start at high and if the power is ok run it there.low is for high speed low pole count in runners.
