I am looking to buy the Q450 Quad frame.

I am having a hard time with keeping within budget and making sure I have the right parts. It would be great if anyone could let me know if I am going wrong somewhere. I am looking to do FPV with this Quadcopter.

Here is my shopping list. (I already have 2 2200 3c batts)
1. 10CM Male to Male Servo Lead
2. HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V2.1
3. USBasp AVR Programming Device for ATMEL proccessors
4. Turnigy TY-P1 25Amp HEXFET® Brushless Speed Controller
(I could switch this to the Plush of if you know of a better one)
5. Turnigy TY-P1 25Amp Brushless ESC Programming Card
6. Q450 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame 450mm - Integrated PCB Version
7. Turnigy D2836/8 1100KV Brushless Outrunner Motor (will this mount correctly on the quadcopter?)
(this is where I have my problem I am also looking at NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv / 250w)
8. Slow Fly Electric Prop 1045R SF RH Rotation (4 pc)
9. Slow Fly Electric Prop 1045SF (4 pc)
10. Turnigy Battery Strap 330mm

If I have to get the NTM motors I will but the Turnigy motors come with the mounts and spinner. My goal it the have a good flyer I don't want to wish I had more power.

Thanks for your help

From what I have read on this site the Turnigy D2836/8 1100KV specs seem to be in the middle of load lifter (10 inch prop) and aerobatic/fast (8 inch prop). This motor seems to be good for both, just switch the prop size? Does this sound right?

I've used the 2830-1100kv motors with 10x6x3 props with very good results on the inexpensive 680mm plywood frame. With a 2200mah 3s lipo, I get just over ten minutes of flight. The 2836's may be a better choice depending on how you intend to load the frame. The plywood frame is very light, not sure about the one you are planning to use.

Looking at HK's recommendation and they recommend the NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv / 250w.

The motor that I am looking at (Turnigy D2836/8 1100KV) has a lower KV for (I think) better stability. Its 12g heavier and 336W they would both use the same ESC. They both cost about the same.

Which out of the two is the better choice.

Thanks.

I am thinking of a 10x4.5 prop to get lift and I am also thinking of getting 8x4 prop for speed. Would this be a good fit?
