How about sponsering someone/group in Australia to do reviews of products. All HobbyKing reviews are done in America. It would be good to get an Australian perpective on HobbyKing product reviews.

There's RCmodelreviews who reviews a lot of the gear in New Zealand. I'm pretty sure he's not sponsored either so you get real and honest opinions from him, and he knows what he's talking about. He doesn't review absolutely everything but what he does review he does very thoroughly.

I wouldn't be too sure about that "not sponsored" part

Yeah Brucey tells it how it is. There are a few, search youtube....theres a guy here in Adelaide that does reviews from time to time on HK planes. At best reviews are just the opinion of the tester, when things are "supplied" not very often will a bad word be spoken...look for independent reviews from those who have put some hours on the product....like a customer...and make an educated choice

Unfortunately -- or perhaps "fortunately", there's no sponsorship here.
Yes, I do get stuff sent to me for review by various vendors but that makes absolutely no difference to the objectivity of my reviews (as you'll see by my review of the Hubsan SpyHawk). "If it sucks, I'll tell you". |

Yes Bruce is very independant and i think before i take much notice of a single customer post i like to se their review of a product i own, or at least a few reviews before i look to hard at a customer review. Bruce has the tack record And his opinions on planes we both have are opinions i agree with Edited by KaosKane - 26/May/2012 at 8:46pm |

Are you referring to chuck, he has a link to Modelflight, and has made friends with the owner and a guy from horizon hobby, I used to work in the LHS and can't say I have ever come across my chuck in any club. He has been invited to a club just 5 mins up the road from where he lives but as yet a friend says he never has taken up the invite. Edited by rcozstyle - 27/May/2012 at 2:54am |

I'll go along with what Bruce thinks of a product - it shouldn't matter a tinker's cuss where a reviewer is - the laws of physics don't change and a test in the land of the long white fly-half is every bit as good as one anywhere else (well we could probably test rain proofing better here

Yeah BUT, the coriolis effect runs in a different (wrong) direction in the northern hemisphere and that might make a difference . Yeah right, as if . I'll stick with Bruce for completely honest and expert source of information about all things RC.
