Yeah BUT, the coriolis effect runs in a different (wrong) direction in the northern hemisphere and that might make a difference . Yeah right, as if . I'll stick with Bruce for completely honest and expert source of information about all things RC.

So long as the thermals don't work the other way round and slam your model in the ground
I don't care what it says on the profile - I'm so NOT GB!

Yes Bruce is very independant and i think before i take much notice of a single customer post i like to se their review of a product i own, or at least a few reviews before i look to hard at a customer review.

Bruce has the tack record
And his opinions on planes we both have are opinions i agree with

The trouble is Bruce is only good for a Corona servo or a handful of recievers They should send him more planes As I said a reviewer will tell you what the vendor wants you to hear, customers tell ya what you NEED to hear (not HK product reviews, RCG is a good source of "actual" reviews)

I have had ocasions when a model has been slammed down 10 feet or so coming in for landing by turbulance or wind shear or whatever and that's kinda scarey. Serves me right I suppose for my adiction to flying on windy days. It can be just so much fun . As for thermals, it's very flat around here, (they hold the world flat land hang gliding championship competition here, or the Aus round at least) and we get great thermals in summer. Bloody hot is the price we pay but at least we do get good thermals.

EDIT: Here as in Forbes where I actualy live just down the road from Parkes where our club is closer to.

I'm never wrong, once I thought I was but I was mistaken.

Are you referring to chuck, he has a link to Modelflight, and has made friends with the owner and a guy from horizon hobby, I used to work in the LHS and can't say I have ever come across my chuck in any club. He has been invited to a club just 5 mins up the road from where he lives but as yet a friend says he never has taken up the invite.

Yeah I seen Chucks vids, I think its more of a case of Model Fright can see a free advertising avenue via Youtube and RCG. Even they can see the value in independent reviews The one I was thinking of was "John?" I think his youtube channel was PARTYJohn but there are no vids there anymore.....mostly HK and FMS planes.

Not very often will I believe a word of reviews unless they are done by a everyday joe blow or customer feedback. Id does not take a brain surgeon to filter out the riff raff and drivel to work out whether its worth buying. Its common knowledge some of these planes we buy can be cheap rubbish and need extra electronics, so buy reading what others are having probs with I can buy the extra bits at the same time    Hobby King reviews won't tell you
