I noticed stock is paperthin on the larger lipos lately.
I only have 2 candidates for my trucks and both have been out of stock forever (+40 days!).
Whatsup with that, hobbyking? Factory strike because you didn't give em enough cookies?

Get on with it, I want to have fun THIS summer.

Scalping by resellers ?

Some stuff disappear so fast in 1 day no matter how many they bring in.

Ive placed 3 alerts (including a 3rd party site) in order to get hold of some packs.
None of them have "gone off" so to speak, so im guessing no stock at all has been added lately.

I have reason to believe hobbyking is neglecting their compact line because of that "new nanotech formulae" thing they have been going on about.
Really, I dont need heavy fat packs that can be drained in 60 seconds...
I need light and large capacity. Am I the only one?

To be honest, i´m one of the pilots searching for rock-solid lipos, they only need to give me 10C and hold it without getting to warm or going down in voltage too much. Turnigy 20C series is fine for me, as they have around 10C - 15C in real life. But they are heavy beasts like the 4S 5000 mAh packs, a little less weight and a little smaller could be fine. Lighter batterie packs would be fine, but never at the cost of realibility! I want batteries that could handle over 200 flights with only some loss of capacity and not getting thick. I´m willing to pay some more money for them as the Turnigy cost, if they are really good quality.

I´ve heard the Rhinos should be fine, but it´s not easy to get them here in Germany. You know, the "Deutscher Zoll" problem... maybe Hobbyking could bring Rhinos into the german warehouse?

Im after the 4s 5000mah zippy compacts myself,
but I think they are about to get scrapped or something,
I havent seen any of the bigger ones get restocked in ages.

And I can tell you one thing, dont bother with 4s rhino's.
Ive seen my friend pull them out of his EDF looking like sausages.
He only pulls around 10C from them.

That´s not good, i thought the Rhinos could be a good deal.

My oldest 4S 5000 20C pack is 1.5 years old and has around 150 charges on it. It´s just getting a little thicker on one side and delivers 4000 mAh, then the cells begin to drift more than 0.3 volts under 5C load. If i pull 4300 mAh out of the pack with 5C, one cell is close to 3.1 volts and the others around 3.3 - 3.5 volts.

Ok, for this price and 1.5 years of usage with 150 charges it´s not too bad, i think. But a better selection could do a great job on those batteries, giving them a better reliability and less drift.

Nearly 2 months and still nothing.. Seriously hobbyking?
Just remove the "restocked in 30 days" lies already,
so people wont get their hopes up and waste their time on this BS.

If something goes past a 30 day restock deadline,
just temporarily remove it from your catalog until,
bluntly put, you get your sh!t straight.
Either that, or don't make meaningless promises.

Sokonomi - you have been taking too many "I must take life seriously again" pills. You will get high blood pressure doing that.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams.

Well Ive got a good 500 dollars sitting on the shelf catching dust,
just because hobbyking cant deliver on their restocking promises.
Thats a lot of cash to not take serious.

I could go as far as calling it false advertising,
but I'm sure they got their butts covered in the TOS.

If there were affordable alternatives believe me id take those,
but the darn truck was already so expensive I cant afford 150 dollar packs.

Ooch!!! That is a lot of dosh to have sitting around waiting for something on backorder. They can't have too many excuses for non-supply as they were proudly showing photos 18 months ago of their very own in-house lipo assembly line.
