Latest video of my jet (full throttle pass at 3:15):

I have been flying EDF jets for a while now, but the ultimate dream is to fly a twin turbine F-14 tomcat.
The turbine part has come true a little earlier then expected :-) Found a deal that I couldn't resist and before I knew it a complete and ready to fly T22 warrior was standing in my garage.

Last thursday I did my first flight with it and today I did another 3 flights. Here are some in flight pictures, with thanks to the clubmember who made them :

Damn this thing is fun to fly !!! Topspeed uptil now is 329 km/h, measured with pitot tube and eagletree speedmeter.
When is HK gonna get into turbines ? :-)

Well Ron, you can listen for yourself, cause I took my camera too the field everytime, but yesterday I DIDN'T forget to ask someone to video the flight :-)

Here it is :

If you look closely you can see I have to use a fire resistant plate to keep the grass from catching fire :-) The jet blows it away a little on take-off.

At 2:45 you can see a full throttle vertical. Only after the camera zooms out you see how high it is :-)
At 3:40 there's a nice low flyby at a bit of speed (max speed this flight was 249 km/h, but I've taken her up to 298 km/h at full throttle on a previous flight)

This was the second flight of the day, and the previous flight was better, but I forgot to ask someone to film it. Landing was a bit fast on the film, previous one was better.

But hey, I'm having lots of fun with the machine !
Enjoy !!!

Wow. I would love to get into turbine planes. Does anyone know of a good trustworthy company who makes RC Turbine Engines for a good price?
