FiberGlassed and Sanded Wings!

New Weight:
Wings - 82g Left, 80g Right
Horizontal Stabiliser - 21g

Does anyone have the stock weight figures of the above?

Isn't that amazing?! A Wiki for AXN! Found it while Googling for weight figures.

I might not go for a glossy AXN as the paint required would add too much weight!

The fiberglassing has not completed yet but it is very near completion. What's left is the main fuselage then I'll proceed to painting! I am thinking of a bright paint scheme with fluorescent orange!

It was a challenge to wrap this little guy.

Epoxied this little guy first for easier fiberglassing of the remaining fuselage. Also epoxied but not pictured, the rudder.

The Fuselage is now wrapped! Completion imminent!

New total weight - 298grams!
The Weight consists of all fiberglassed EPO components of the AXN - Wings, Fuselage, Vertical & Horizontal Stabilisers.

This marks the completion of FiberGlassing the AXN!

All sanded down for paint, now the difficult part - What to paint?!

I like your style on the rebuild. At those wondering about hot glue, I use it for most everything nowdays, because it forms into the cracks and makes the join like new. You do however have to make sure you wipe off the excess, so what ends up staying on the plane is an ultrathin layer. It's not hard, but some people are lazy and don't clean up their hot glue messes properly.

Thanks lobstermash!

It seems like the previous owner of this AXN had squeezed quite a hefty amount of hotglue for the fractures, he did cleaned most of the excess away but the internal portions of the joints are filled with overflowing excess!

Got some ideas for the paint job. Anyone wish to sound out what they would like to see on this AXN?
