I purchased an OrangeRx R415 Spektrum DSM2 Compatible 4Ch Micro 2.4Ghz Receiver and an F86 Saber 35mm EDF Micro Jet EPO. The receiver will not power up when connected to the Saber. There are no lights on the receiver. The esc in the saber constantly beeps. I measured only 1.5 volts coming from the esc with a multimeter. I think there is an issue with the esc in the Saber. Shouldn't there be at least 5 volts? I am not able to bind to the receiver. I don't even think it is powering up.

Hiya, try inverting the connector into the receiver..ie.. turn it upside down. The ESC wont put out correct voltage until it's programmed. Try to bind it with the esc input into the power input on the receiever instead of the throttle slot. Hope it helps.

1.5volts isn't nearly enough, if that is actually the voltage.
What type transmitter are you using? Futaba needs the throttle channel reversed for the ESC to function properly.

You could try hooking up a regular receiver battery to the receiver to see if the RX works at all.
