HobbyKing Forums - turnigy SuperBrain software 100A

I purchased a Super Brain 100A ESC in Feb 2011 -and have not yet used it. I have looked at all the comments people have made, and the problems they have had. I am now about to use this 100A ESC. So I emailed Zenith Peng, of Chongqing HIFEI Technology Ltd, to find the latest position, so that I can be sure that the ESC will work properly in my plane. I sent the email to: zenith.peng@gmail.com; and also to:      info@hifei.com
Here is his reply to me:

Thanks for your email.
Attached are the last firmware for 100A-K and the manual for HiFei KINGKONG ESCs, you should update the firmware as the following procedures:
1 Using Turnigy Super Brain software to upgrade the old firmware of Turnigy Super Brain 100A with the new one 【attached: Hifei 1HV 100(A ).DLC】
2 Download HiFei Software 4.01 in HiFei website ( http://www.hifei.com/en/News_View.asp?NewsID=122 ), and install it.

After you updated the firmware successfully, the firmware ID will be: AHKA010810HA1000.
If you have any questions, please kind let me know.

I cannot attach the PDF manual for "King Kong ESC" that Mr Peng sent to me, however there is an older version at this link:

I have a Turnigy Super Brain 100A ESC, with the Super Brain USB linker.
I know, from various discussions, that this ESC is manufactured by Hifei.   And that it is the same ESC as the: Hifei ESC-100A-K   ESC.
And that people have had very good help from you, about this ESC.
And also: that there have been some problems with this ESC.   I have some questions:
1. I have downloaded version 4.1 of the Hifei software.   Should I use this, instead of the Turnigy software ?
2. I purchased this ESC from HobbyKing, in Feb 2011 -12 months ago.      Is there a new firmware for this ESC ?
3. If so, can you send me this firmware please,   and also tell me the best way to install this in the ESC.

I will use this 100A ESC in a pattern plane:   the Monolog 110;   and I will use 8S Li-Po and a powerful motor: the PJS 6000;   see: http://www.pjs.cz/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=47

	I received a superbrain 100A ESC today I've been running the 80A and 60A with the USB linker and PC software with no problems for many months When I connect the SB100A with the Y-cable to the same USB linker select the correct coms port I get this cryptic error messsge: can't hardware 11HA 's parameter setting does anyone know how to get pass this point so I can program this ESC? and use the data logger contacted chat line - they say to post on the forum

	I also had a same message with my SB 100A. I see you've posted 07 funtober (?) last year and not a single response? If you didn't use Y-cable how did you connect ESC to USB Linker anyway? Did you just powered ESC externally (red/black connector) and connected RX signal cable to USB Linker? I wonder why would Y cable be a problem? It is a simple cable. Maybe one needs to remove shrink in the middle and inspect connections. Maybe they are wrong.
