My kit is on the way-the one without the motors.Thought I would start a thread on this aircraft.

Looking for advice on any mods before I assemble it.Will run 3S 2200mA 30C with 2 30A EScs and 2 4200 kv motors-the Indian ones from HK.

So far-
1.Will mix Ch 3 and 5 to give me thrust control.Found out how to do this on my Futaba 6EX 2.4G.
2.Will put one ESC in 3 and the other in 5,removing the red power lead on one.

Any other advice folks,?.

Thanks

Roger

Advice is dont bother with the differential thrust as they are so close together it wont make any noticable difference.(use the kiss principle(keep it simple ####)) lol
Just enjoy flying it , and remember that it wont have the straight up power a prop plane has , so plan ahead during flights.

Good luck

Patrick

ps: get a higher c rating for the batts "nano-tecs", will give you a little more punch and the battery wont get as hot !!

Also, keep in mind that the motor shafts are 3mm. The supplied shaft adapters are 2.3mm so.....
you will need 2x of these

Thanks guys.

Also do I need to balance the fans to make sure ?

Will do the usual tape reinforcement on leading edges.

What about the nose wheel ?Did the mod to my T28 to reinforce the firewall.

Description says there are 75mm edf's fitted so I'm afraid these indian motors might be too weak. Actually today I've also bought this kit and half a day was looking for a motors that would fit and finally I've bought couple of these on fleabay:

I thought the OP was referring to the 50mm kit.

Run the fans and see if your happy. I didn't think that I would gain much by balancing mine.

Can you fit 2200 mah 3s into that smaller A-10? That's why I though that he's talking about bigger kit.
