Could i politely ask that the front page of this thread be updated with the new options?
I am a new multirotor wannabe (fly planes and helis) and i really dont know where to start. Almost everything that was listed in the first post has been discussed with a better option(s) throughout this thread. |

At least 700gr per engine, so 2.8kg total with 9x4,7 props. You can try much larger like 10w5 and compare.
Roughly, you can fly with a payload of one kilo max to be in security. P. |

Half of your total thrust is the max total weight you can fly with a certain calm, included the GoPro and its support and servos to move it.
You can fly with more payload, but less easily! Edited by PierHenri62 - 16/Dec/2012 at 5:12pm |

Why not go for the KK2 controller? It's easier to set up. If you upgrade the firmware to 1.5 you also get working self levelling and camera stabilisation. I would also get Turnigy Plush, instead of Turnigy Basic.

Hi Guys!
I'm probably one of the few girls looking into Quad flying.
I had some experience flying a airplane trainer 10 years ago but I am looking into a solution for aerial video and photography and Quads seems to be the best solution for it these days. I would like to build it myself so I know how the things fits together if I crash it (which I'll probably will a millions times) and are able to customize if needed in the future. I was wondering if the setup below, after spending a few afternoons reading, would be a good learning-to-fly setup. Can you guys take a look and help me straghtening out any issues in the list below? Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack (DE Warehouse) Turnigy Battery Strap 330mm Individual HXT 3.5mm connector for motor/ESC (12pc) Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board Slow Fly Electric Prop 1045SF (4 pc) Slow Fly Electric Prop 1045R SF RH Rotation (4 pc) HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V2.1 (Atmega168PA) NTM Prop Drive 28 Series Accessory Pack TURNIGY BESC Programming Card TURNIGY Basic 25A v3.1 Speed Controller NTM Prop Drive Series 28-30A 750kv / 140w Hobbyking X666 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame 666mm Thanks a bunch!
