As far as I know, it's a straight plug-in with a stereo cable. You might also need to "enable" the "Trainer" option in the Settings menu....forgotten where it is exactly.

1. Assuming the master Tx already has the correct model settings for your model, create a new model on the slave Tx and copy the master settings for everything (mixes, servo reverse etc) so they are the same on both radios.
2. Switch on the master Tx and ensure the Rx in your model is bound to the "master" controller.
3. Plug the trainer cord into the master Tx and then plug it into the slave Tx as well. The slave Tx should turn on by itself (don't use the power switch on ).
4. When the trainer switch is toggled on the master Tx, control of the model should be transferred to the slave Tx.
5. Adjust the trims to be the same by quickly flicking between master and slave Tx's and watching the servos move...trim as required so that swapping Tx's is as seamless as possible.

Sorry, I've never done it with Turnigy radios - only with Spektrum ones. thought it would be the same.

Just been doing some reading and found that this is a known issue. There's a complex permanent fix which involves a little soldering, but the simple fix is to simply unplug the module from the back of the trainee (slave) TX. Watch out, because the module is still connected via a cable to the aerial that can't be removed.

Give that a try and let us know if it works.

Finally I had the time to test the suggested setup.

So here is the info :)

The two Turnigy radios will not work unless you are removing the module from the second unit. (In my case, I have a Frysky so it not will be a problem)

It operates well without the module; as probably it is using the instructor unite as a master to control the receiver. The only annoying thing is the trainer switch which is working backward as we use to it.

I think for the price, the best is to buy a radio and use it without module just for body box and do not remove it every time when you are flying with a student.

Thank you for your help.

Glad it works!

What do you mean about the trainer switch working backwards? Is the slave activated by default, and the mater is only active while the switch is up?

Yes!

It is exactly what I am saying.

I am not sure and I did not check it, it might help by reverting the switch wires.
