dont have a savage flux yet you will get plenty of power out of this battery.
Look at the dementions listed above and measure your battery compartment area to see if it will fit.
1C charge is the best for all lipos battery. for this it will be 5.8A
Manufacturer said that it have 30C discharge that's 174A. But in normal use and from my experience it's ok to 10-12C continous discharge (up to 70A). Less current will definitelly improve life cycle.
HOBBYKING, STOP USING 8AWG WIRES, NO SYSTEM HAS THAT THICK WIRES. WE BUY LARGE CAPACITY BATTERIES TO HAVE THEM LAST LONGER AND NOT TO RAISE MORE AMPS!!! THIS IS VERY STUPID AND COST RAISING FROM YOU!!!
Thicker wires will not increase amperage, it will how ever allow a Higher amp draw, then a 10ga or 12ga wire will.. The thicker wires only suck because they are hard to solder..
These batteries rock so far. I use them in an E-Revo Brushless, and a Traxxas Summit. They are a tight squeeze width wise, but very skinny thickness wise. The 8awg wires are massive and a bit frustration soldering to Traxxas connectors, it is doable though. Also, you need to make the holes in the battery doors larger to compensate for the oversized wires. I have used these at the track several times this week and they performed very well, just like my other Zippy Flightmax Batteries. I have had good runtimes so far, about 35plus minutes racing and well over 45plus minutes while going slow and rock crawling with the Summit. The 5800 capacity makes this a great battery. I charge them at 7 amps, on the Turnigy Accucel 8 because that is as high as the charger goes. They have a 2C charge rating and could be charged even faster.
Amazing power, cells came near storage capacity, charging the cells were very balanced upon arrival. Every time I charge this capacity goes to 6200Mah, so battery is bigger than 5800
I run those battery in my E-MAXX 3908 brushless edition, run time 25-30min, very powerful and fit well with the included 28mm battery bar ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyNvQRaTTS8
