Will the OrangeRx T-SIX 2.4GHz DSM2 Compatible 6CH Transmitter and OrangeRx R615X DSM2/DSMX Compatible 6Ch 2.4GHz Receiver w/CPPM work with the AXN Floater-Jet Glider? Is this a good choice? I'd also like to add a *** Evo 3 Axis Gyro Flight Controller Autobalance Stabilizer. Thoughts?

Hi John, That Tx/Rx combo will work fine and leave two channels to run accessories such as an FPV panning servo or a bomb drop. I wouldn't bother with auto-stabilization, this is about as stable and predictable as it comes after a high wing trainer.

I've had this little guy for some time using FPV, however I wanted to know if anyone has a more refined system for mounting a camera on this other than hot glue a $30 camera to the nose. Maybe a dome on the front? Thanks.
 philippe 19 points
I've cut a hole in the nose and placed a 180 degree servo into it, then glued a camera onto the servo for side to side viewing (panning). I mixed the controls such that I can turn the camera with the rudder control, while the rudder stays fixed, or have the camera fixed and control the rudder. A dome may be somewhat obscuring and distorting for the camera view, and if well enclosed could cause heating issues.

Fairly speedy setup but does suffer from "wing wobble".

Interesting take off method, hopefully you have the belly of the plane taped up. I enjoyed mine, hopefully I'll find that broken off wing tip one day. It flies great even all beat up and half hot-glue and makes a great FPV platform.

Yes there is tape on the belly. Smoother ground makes for a more graceful take off.

Since 3 weeks i'm waiting for this product to be in stock so that i can buy it, but it's still not back. Can anyone tell me when it will come back to stock? Thanks.

Anyone help me with getting the screw unstuck for the rudder/elevator pushrods? I've tried every tool in my kit and they're stuck fast.

No one else with this problem?

62 thumbs up!
I am very happy with this plane. Built was very easy, nothing much to do really. I prefer to fly a bit nose heavy so I go with 2200mah 3s. Tried also 1800mah 3s but it was a bit tail heavy for my taste. BTW plenty of power on stock motor. If you cut and re-hinge elevator and ailerons you get plenty of throw. Can do outside loop also. Rolls are a bit tricky thought, might need a little ruder to perform well. Make sure you are high enough before you try it. Oh and of course it can fly inverted fairly good.

52 thumbs up!
Good value. Flies well.
PROS:
Quick assembly(glue incl.)
Spare prop.
Wings detach.
Good wind penetration with 2200 mah.
25 plus min. flights on 3S 2200mah.
Good control authority.
Strong motor.
Rugged.
CONS:
Sparse instructions.
Must enlarge slot for 2200mah battery.
Stiff control surfaces.
Motor/prop are a bit noisy.
Seemed tail heavy with 1300 mah battery.
Above comments after 8 flights.

seems to be a good plane for fpv, all mods are done and it is cheaper than buying an ez at my local store even with shipping.
the fuse is glued, that's the only bad point, it will be more difficult to install telemetry onboard, btw, it's a good deal and available,
thanks HC

30 thumbs up!
Aiuleron and elevator hinge lines are tight enough to strip the servo gears. You'll want to cut thru and re-hinge.
A Zippy 3S*1300 installed on edge and shoved all the forward will just bring this into balance. A Zippy 3S*2200 (also installed on edge) as far aft as possible balances it a little nose heavy, but still fylable. Chamfer the aft end of the battery compartment top rails 45 degrees for easier battery installation and removal
