If you gonna use old ESC and Pinion you can't upgrade motor - you can only replace it with same or almost same motor. If you want to replace broken motor, then measure shaft diameter, motor dimentions and look same motor in spares section. It's better to choose motors with 20-23A max current to avoid ESC overheating. It's also better to choose motors with low Kv (rounds per volt) - they work slightly and accurate. If you want the real upgrade them you should replace a ESC-Motor pair. Hope tht helps.
Just got one of these, loads of fun! However, my front left shock doesn't spring back at all once pushed in, this causes the tire to get stuck into the body shell after hitting a ***p and then makes the car veer to one side. All my other shocks are nice and "springy", how can I fix the problem one to have it "springy" like the others? I'm brand new to cars so please pardon my ignorance, I'm sure it's probably something basic.
Oops, looks like hobbyking is very strong with posting URLs even if it's only a picture. Well, peterswolf, I tried to illustrate that I did with my car. I just pulled spring down and put a couple of plastic clamps to make spring much stronger. I made it for every suspension so my car is running good on gravel. Clearance increased too and I can even install camera on it. You can try 1 clamp per spring. Meanwhile I'll start my own youtube channel and publish a video of it to attach em to my comments.

where are the bodies for all your cars Hobbyking?? spare bodies are a necessity! mines cracked and scratched severly, what am i ment to do now? buy another car just for the body?? come on Hobbyking
you can buy the traxxas ken block body car, it fix well as the kyosho inferno bodys.
You can look for those shells all over internet. Its easy to find them
Well, ESC can support 2s-3s batteries - that's declared on product page. So you can use 3s battery. But will it fit into battery compartment? That's a good question and I think it will NOT fit. Of course you can modify chassis to install battery, but I use 2S 1300mAh battery and can ride about one hour or even more with single charge. Hope that helps.
You can put 3s on it and it will fit fine. The problem comes with the overheating of the motor and ESC.
This car can reach the 80km/h with a 3s battery.
Its terrible fast in 3s but dont use it for more than 5 mins, Just use it for showing to your friends your new "toy".
You neam programming card for program ESC? No, you don't. You need to have only 2ch radio and a battery (with a charger) and it will ride. Hope that helps.
its simple, it will not fit in the battery place.
If you attach by any other way more mah battery, you will have more wheigt and more run time.
The highest batt fits on it is 2200mah
I use HK-300 3-channel radio. It comes with receiver and price is very good. Distance is good: strong signal as far as I can see my rally car. Hope that helps.
I purchased the CVD drives for this car. They DO NOT fit! The axle part is slighly too short and the hole drilled for the axle pin does not clear the bushings.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I dont know why HK doesnt have bodies for these but if you google arrow 1/16 rally body you will find them in the EU or traxxas 1/16 rally body is a bit bigger but fits with new holes
I can't find my manual and need to look up a part # to replace the gears - is the manual available online? It's not showing under FILES.

Go to menu ** Cars and Parts ** spare parts, then choose your model and you'll find every spare part available exactly to your model. I think you know how your part that need to be replaced looks visually. Hope that helps. BTW there's a lot of spares made by aluminium alloy not the plastic, so you can upgrade your model :)
AFAIR it's a JIT item and stores in different warehouse. It took a week of messaging with HK support before they shipped my order. And about a month to get my package.
I purchased this car 1/16 Brushless 4WD Mini Rally Car, but unfortunately suspended * the left front broke at the base, I wonder if I can purchase the item * sobralenses this model. I hope someone can give me a hand with this!

wilber, da pra comprar as pecas aqui no site. Entre na secao car spare parta, escolha o modelo de carro, e entao encontre as pecas que quebraram. Por acaso quebrou o chassis? Ou foram os bracos da suspensao? Se ainda tiver problemas me avise

have you checked the size of both car bodys and if there the same size theres a good chance it will if the other rally car with green wheels is not as wide so if it dusnt fir 1 it might fit the over....
you can fit it and you can look for a kyosho mini inferno bodys. they fit well too and are aeasy to find

Can hobbyking make brushless motor 2445 size and 4800-5000kv with MAX 30A. 4 POLE MOTOR. Shaft 2,17mm or 3,17mm. That would be GREAT motor for really car or anyother 1/16 car that HK sells in fact!

I have it few days at home and 3 batteries gone (2S 1700mAh). Let me give first impression. Came well packed without any damage.Chassis -plastic parts are good designed and material is very flexible - after several crashes nothing damaged even without whitemark on parts. There is big play in parts, some fine tuning is necessary. You can put there bigger batteries with small rework action on chassis. This car has very weak brakes, will need to change ESC as recommended on other 1/16 models. Canopy - came with wrong cuted holes for pins, very sensitive for scratches - there is foil. It´s not painted. Decal sheet is the best I got from HK - please implement same quality for HK planes! Drifting possible - I just made tuning of wheel by tape for wires and can enjoy drifting in living room. Manual is very poor and for RTF version. No explanation how to program ESC.

Car came with Broken ESC and is not working.
It is diferent from Rally Extreem as it is got diferent diffs,towers,arms,servo, chassis, upper deck, upper arms, c hubs and rear knuckles, front bummper and shocks.
Car is ok, but much much better is Exteem edition.
I got both.

taken 4 for me and my friends: the package was the boxes of the cars and not a stand alone box. all plastic with a lot of play but on the road they go very well: good speed and lot of fun. carefully check the screws of the tyres....
All right. You get what you pay for so don't expect a precision kit. Everything wobbles, even if you tight the screws down. 2 stars only because the motor died after 3 minutes on a 2S... Looking for a replacement now.
