I have this engine in this Corsair and it flies it perfectly. Will do anything you ask it to do. Flies the Corsair at half throttle and will do unlimited vertical. Great on fuel as well. I have a 12 oz. tank and it will fly a long time. Good Luck!!
I have a great planes escipade 61.. was wondering if this gas engine will work or what would be better... I have a super tiger 90 in it now but want to go gas....
Hey mike, I'm doing this now, this Chisten Eagle is a very heavy plane, every biplane model is to heavy, specialy this one. I'm sure that I'll be able to hover but this is not a 3D plane. Regards!
Almost any RCxl ignition will work. Check the ones sold here for other motors in the 20-30cc range. You want one with the plug cap set up for a CM-6 spark plug... otherwise they are the same.

RCG20 gas engine is suitable to a 90 size four stroke glow engine or not? I am asking because I have a model powered by a 90 size four stroke engine and I want to replaced it by a gas engine. So the best option is an RCG20 or an RCG15 gas engine?
A .90 size four stroke glow engine is about the equivalent of a .60 size two stroke glow engine in terms of power. So your best bet would be the RCG15. The RCG20 is closer to a 1.20 size four stroke though it is probably closer to 1.40 or 1.60.
In the name of motor fraud - this engine has a volume 23sm3.
Against this background, the same size and weight with OSGT22, but the power is less than the DLE-20.
So do yourself a choice - what you set a goal, it is cheaper to buy a motor, or buy the best motor with good power.
While I havent measured the displacement volume I have tach'd this engine using the same props I use on DLE 20's and this is NOT less powerful than a DLE 20. You may want to check your tuning or setup. I get about 200 RPM more out of this engine, which I believe is in part due to the better muffler.
I sold the engine HK poor quality - front bearing hanging in the crankcase as the size of the crankcase was greater by 0.4 mm.
So my engine was terrible at work.
I requested assistance from HK - sell me a new crankcase.I was offered only one option to send back the engine. They do not understand that the postal costs exceed the reasonable cost - for the money I would buy EVO-26 with guaranteed quality (as opposed to the quality which offers HK).
Volume - remove the spark plug and measure the stroke. You will receive a stroke 27.62mm. Bore description corresponds 32mm. Further down the formula you can easily count the volume of the cylinder .....
This is not the first case where HK is deceiving its users in the specification and guarantee customer support.
Bore/Stroke: 32mm x 25mm
Displacement: 20cc
This is a hoax.
the correct information
Bore/Stroke: 32mm x 27.65mm
Displacement: 23cc
I'm a little incorrectly written.
HK I asked to sell me another pan. I did not ask anything in the form of free options. The request was connected with the most affordable option in my case with, for which I was willing the flesh. Other options are not allowed, as the engine goes platinum.
I wanted to buy a new crankcase crankcase with correct counterbore where bearings will not hang out and will not allow air under their yoke.
Wow that is a GREAT Hoax and deception. The engine is actually larger in displacement than what it is advertised. I wish everyone would do that!!!! Greater displacement = more power.
You also compare it against an EVO-26 ( good engine too ), which not only is no longer made but was over twice the price. I have have the EVO-26, and while that is a good engine, this much cheaper engine compares favorable.
BTW: You should just press the bearing in further. Mine is flush with the crankcase.
I see nothing deceptive in all of this.
This comparison is only paying back if I sent this motor - delivery from Russia is very expensive.
My email is requested for shipping in China is about 140 $.
Next I would have to wait a long time on it is really a marriage.
And the saddest thing that could make the manufacturer - to put back on EPOXi bearing the words it is not a marriage.
That is against this background that the motor could outgrowth price equivalent EVO your time in a few months.
My dle20 works with screw -
17X6 -9400
17X4 -9800
RCG-20 was not able to turn as much - maybe it's just the fault of the bearing and the emerging leaks. Of a bearing went black oil.
But RCG-20 (more precisely RCG-23) is a plus, he did not crumble bearing rod.
What is the disease in the DLE-20, which is the only thing that spoils it.
Just RCG-20 (RCG-23) has an easy start, I attribute this to the presence of two piston rings.
His RCG20 (RCG-23) I bought in the early days of sales at HK.
Who is likely to marry eliminated and as I have not glued on EPOXi.
And maybe the engine power higher than mine.
But buying people should know why they RCG20 (RCG23) has the weight and dimensions as the O.S.-GT22.
Yes having to return items to HK is a big problem. Here they have set up a "warehouse", actually a small outlet in a strip mall, where they accept returns. This is not the fault of the engine itself.
The RCG-20's I have ( I have several ) will turn a 17x6 at 9400 RPM without problems maybe a bit faster. You may want to check the flapper valve on yours and sand it smooth as others have done for their DLE-20 engines. This usually cures low power output.
Don't judge this RCG engines or any engine by your experience with one. I've had problems similiar to yours with EVO engines too.
For the price this is a good engine with plenty of power.
Hello everybody, I am building a RV-4 with DLE30CC engine, this engine is much higher for the model, or not? if I put a RCG 30 is also compatible.
I'll be grateful for the tips
hello ', this is my first purchase. I wonder if my order was processed and ok for this expedition.

not bolt on but sure!! if you can custom engineer and machine parts to shoe horn in an engine 10 times the size a 1/10 car normally uses. i don't think you can really call it 1/10 scale after you make Frankenstein. lol some people put monster v8 engines into motorcycles so why not. it's all up to you.
In the manual it says that I can't use a single battery pack to power both the engine and rx with servos but I heard that that's possible if you use a UBEC like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__6233__TUR NIGY_8_15A_UBEC_for_Lipoly.html so can I have one battery pack with this UBEC?
The ignition only uses about 300ma . A 5a UBEC is OK. Unless you are flying 1/4 scale and using high powered servos , your not likely to have a problem. The single battery problem may be more of a problem with interference, but newer receivers with 2.4gh don't seem to have this problem.

1 thumbs up!
I have received this engine.
While I give only 4 stars (for the reason that yet I do not know as it will work on my model)
The motor is not copy DLE-20 though who that thinks that they are very similar.
On height the motor above on 8??.
The motor weighs 765 gramme
Weight with the muffler and ignition - 955 gramme
Weight with the muffler, ignition and Screws/Bolts/Nuts/Engine Mounts which go in the complete set-1040 gramme.
I am glad to this motor, it has a good compression at once.
The piston has two rings.
Though outwardly the motor looks rough (not accurate), but it is well entered in a cowl of my model - Phoenix Models Extra 330S Sport/Aerobatic ARF .61-.91 .
But the unique moment - me does not suit the muffler and I could not find to it replacement yet.
I hope that HK can provide support to this engine with spare parts.
The engine is very good alternative GLOW Engine 90 and its popularity depends on relation HK to that that they sell.
While all looks mediocre as have given the description with the big discrepancies which frighten buyers of the not of a correctness.

HK 20cc daul ring gas motor, is a nice clean rear carb motor. With 9,800 RPM and 2.2 hp and ~2 lb. or 1 Kg in the plane, it is a powerhouse. The only thing I did not like is the lack of info and dimentions for the engine. I hope I have solved this problem, by putting detail pictures in the FILES area of this item on this page. I would like to see a side mount 15cc like this 20cc with a 90* exaust for rear, in cowl, muffler mount. A 90* exaust for this engine would be nice too. This one is going into a Top-Flite 1/8 scale P-47 Thunderbolt, with a 64" ws, 1.6m, 12 lb ~ 5Kg.

Got one of these engines and am so far very pleased with it.
There is alot of confusion about the power output of this little engine as many compare it to the radial mount rcg 20, the beam mount is a completly different engine and produces more power than the hobbyking website shows as stated before by someone else. This is a dle 20 copy and produces similar power and weighs about the same.
Mine is hauling a seagull yak 54 at 10lb dry straight up with a 17 8 jen prop at 8300 rpm. This engine produces 14 lb thrust.
So far I have had no problems with this engine but have gave it 4 out of 5 for quality as this engine does not have a walbro carb and I simply have not had it long enough to comment on reliability.
Im that pleased with it I have ordered another.

Engine a little weak on mounting didnt expect a glow engine mount ,so i had to modify muffler to get it to fit inverted .After all the motor runs out great I m running a 16x8 prop and still cant seem to slow it down ,i put it on a 90-120 size yak and it feels like it ripping the wings off . But anyway great product and price for those of us that cant spend big money airplane parts ,it is just a hobby right ? May you all havea blessed day .
