Hello, i have a question. I am flying my quad with 2,2 mah 3s 40c battery. Can i use this battery to have more flying time, or i will damage any electronics due to higher mah? The extra weight i dont think it will problem, because the motors are very powerfull. Thank you.
You can use this battery and it will give more flight time. It will not damage any electronics. Think of the mAh as a gas tank. The higher the number, the more time flying (although usually means more weight so there's a tradeoff).
Hello Jan, First of all you should never disassembly the battery, however there is a way to get the dead cell back, sometimes work sometimes not. Try the following, connect your battery to the balancer/charger, connect the equalizer plug as well. Select 0.5A and try if not, try with lower amperage and keep trying until the battery accepts. Once accepted wait for complete charge. If still doesnt work, try to put on a freezer for about 10min. then with balancer only charger, try to balance at 0.2A. Check the plugs as well since sometimes they can get loose. Good luck. BTW, Turnigy batt are really good batteries.
I bought this battery and charged it only /- 10 times. After that one cell died and did not want to charge eny more. After disassembly I checked the cables and they were fine. Too short life even I was handling the battery as I should -> not discharged too much, banance charging, didn´*t touch ( ) to (-)
Hi, I received a battery with one of the outside cells badly puffed. Is it possible to cut out the bad cell and just make it a 2S? If so, is there anything I should know before I attack a volatile battery with a knife...
NOOOOOO, 1) You are going to injure yourself and burn your house. 2) You mustn't cut a cell because you are going to kill your lipo. 3) Ask your question to the HK chat line and they will explain how you can resend your puffed Lipo.
You mustn't cut a cell or any damage on your Lipo, it's highly dangerous !
hmm ok ok. thanks mate. I could've sworn someone told me you could remove a cell and have a 2 cell leftover... I wasn't going to puncture the cell... not sure if I should bother trying to get another, especially after this long since i got it. oh well, disposal process for the ***r lipo. :(
puedes hacerlo con cuidado y un estaƱador de 90w para arriba, si no rajas ningun elemento no debiera haber problema,yo lo hice muchas veces cuando se van estropeando los elementos.
looks like 3s1p 3s is 3 cells 1p means 1 pack be cell. a 3s2p is 3 cells with 3 packs per cell. to run 6s u can series connect 2 3s packs but just make sure they are matching packs... bad stuff tends to happen when they are not.
I have turnigy and zippy lipo packs.they have both the same power...I use them in a Savage Flux, so I prefer the zippy, because they are a little bit smaller
for 35c or higher i would use 4a ,,its still on save side and pretty fast,,also make sure you balance charge if the cells get to much different volts ,,i usually balanccharge after the last flight of the day ,to keep lipos in good shape
