Where is the BEC wire? The FAN is in servo and teh FAN- is in Batt-. When I put 3s lipo the fan spins much fast than 2s but looks fine. Need to do any mod to use 3s without damage the fan or alredy in correct place?

The fan should be fine. Unless you've got something touching the fan putting any strain on it the higher voltage wont do any noteworthy damage. The servo is the BEC wire. With a 2S LiPo the BEC puts out about 5v but on a 3S LiPo the BEC puts out a little over 6v. Over time (like a year or more) the fan will slowly lose power (not voltage power but airspeed power) but nothing to worry about. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps

As I wrote before, my 35A ESC fan is giving me problems. When you turn it on, it speeds a lot and then stops. I tried conecting it to the BEC + but it makes my steering servo glitch and turns unstable. If I change to a 3Racing or Yeah 7.2V Fan and conecting it directly to the battery, could this work? I'm using 3200mAh 2S lipos, when fully charged, they are 8.4V.

You can use the receiver to conect the 3racing FAN.

Yes. Using the 3Racing or Yeah Racing 7.2v fan and connecting straight to a 2S LiPo is fine. BUT always remember if you put a 3S LiPo in it the fan will most PROBABLY die. Hope this helps

The Information that comes with this ESC (I recently received mine) states that the 35A is good for >9T for on-road with 2S LiPo and >12T for off-road with 2S LiPo.
Also states that it is good for >12T for on-road with 3S LiPo and >18T for offroad with 3S LiPo.
Hope this helps

Can this ESC handle 4s lipo (aside from the fan needing to be either upgraded or connected to the BED output)? I'm planning on using a Turnigy 3630-5300kv motor and a 1300mAh 4s 30C/40C lipo in my new project. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Apparently the 60A one can so this one probably can as well but I have not tried it. I could use more speed in my combat robot so I think I'll give it a try :) Need to get a 4S pack first though

I've got this ESC and it is great. Using big outrunner motor of KV:750 it turns smooth and start turning well.
However, I would like to use Rock_Crawler mode (no need to pull stick twice to achieve backward action), and it requires 100% brake, and hits the reverse, the whole gear seems to be hit by that like by a hammer fall. I dont like that.., and wonder how I could get it to gently brake and only THEN GENTLY start turning backward in RockCrawler mode.. Perhaps newer firmware? Is it possible?

I have just bought this 35A ESC with an EZ-RUN 10T motor. How do I make the ESC work on channel 2? I had a brushed ESC (Traxxas XL-5) which worked fine on ch.2. This one only works on ch.1. Both Turnigy ESC and EZ-RUN work fine, just on the wrong channel. Receiver is a 2 channel Traxxaz 2015 with BEC.

Hi,
I'm about deciding whether to buy 35A or 60A for my 1:10 tamiya buggy (df-02 chassis) and 9-12T motor.
I would like to put big monster wheels (130mm) and I do not know if 35A esc can handle it, expecialy on 9T motor and lowest gearing (about 11:1 on standard 85mm wheels).
Does anyone have experience in 1:10 monsters or truggies? - I am quite new to the hobby *-)
The thing that worries me most is the thermal of both motor and ESC. What kind of ESC, motor and gear ratio would be the best?
Thanks in advance!!!

yea im guessing you would be better off with the 60a version. 35a would be minimal and it would cost you a lot more if you had to buy a 35a now and a 60a later cause you fried it

The motor would draw to much current for the 35A with that gearing. Go with the 60A and save your money

I'm just guessing here, but the fan is probably fed from the BEC circuit (as it is a 5V fan, and the BEC is 5V)

the fan is fed directly from the battery. for more than 2s lipo, all you have to do is take the red wire from the fan and hook it up to the bec.

I'm having trouble with my ESC. The fan speeds up when you turn it on and some seconds later it stops and feels hot. I'm using a 3200mah 2S lipo. When its fully charged its 8.4V!! Do I have to change the fan to a 7.2V one?

Up to 3S if you rewire the fan to run off Rx or another powersupply, also works if you replace original fan with one rated for 12V. Just don't try 3S before doing either of the above or you may end up frying it.

mah doesnt work with it directly. you need a battery that can put out 35a continuous. if you put a 10,000 mah battery to it, it wouldnt give it any more power than a 5,000 mah one. it would just run twice as long.

mah is the length that the battery will last for. But remember that the longer the ESC runs at full amps the hotter it will get. I run mine with 2 25C 3300mah 2S LiPo's in parallel. That equates to 6600mah total and I have had no problems. Just remember to set the LVC to suit your batteries. Hope this helps
