Pack of 5 of these would be nice!

I only need two of these, where are the singles? I don't need to spend 5 bucks on wires. Thanks.
 Arsya 161 points
You can't buy only 2 of these here. Just buy 10 and be sure, that if you lost one, you will have much another ones. i'm using it to make my cable much longer (about 2-3 cables in series)
 KSheli 2 points
10 of these are still less expensive than 1 from almost any where else.
franklesco  5 points - 1/29/2011

What AWG are these wires? Or thickness in mm2?
 pontios 17 points
Not sure buts its the same wire in the turnigy battery packs.
 JNesbitt 2 points
The specifications for JST-HX wires are: #22 AWG. Found here: www.link

I've had this on backorder for about a month... any word on when we can expect these to ship?

i am not telling others to do it my way, i honestly do not care what they do, i am simply posting WHAT I DO, what others do with it, is their decision... now please, quit being a jerk, stay out of my posts.
 Burnaby 529 points
Read your own post to get a sense of what a jerk is. BTW, it's NOT your post, you don't own the forum, stop acting like a possessive 3 yr old, STOP embarrassing yourself, it's not funny anymore.
 T3rry 307 points
why don't you stop posting in my threads? i am trying to do the mature thing and avoid and ignore you, but your childish behavior is making that difficult, seriously, get a life.
 Burnaby 529 points
What's with the MY POST, MY THREAD, mine, mine, mine repetition, Are you three year old? Yes, do the mature act by discontinuation of childish post.

can i use this for less than 6 cells, i want to get quattro charger, i want to perimantly put these in the balance port and use as extension, but i normally only do 2s or 3s, can i put a 2s or 3s balance port in the 6s extension?
 Burnaby 529 points
NO, look carefully at the pic to see there are slots cuts/ridges on the connector male/female ends that line up when connected together. 6s won't line up with other sizes.
 radialarm 38 points
It will work like that if you have a seperate balance board with 2-6s connectors on it.
 T3rry 307 points
it works fine, i just had to trim a tab off my battery's balance tab.
 Burnaby 529 points
Trim the extension, NOT the battery balance tab.
 T3rry 307 points
i trim the battery tab, but only the one farthest from the ground wire, the one close to the ground wire is always in the same place for all packs, so that will prevent it being put in backwards.
 T3rry 307 points
burnaby, you are not smart, please dont reply to my posts.
 Burnaby 529 points
Changing you name won't help Terry. I don't want to reply to your post but must to help others others avoid your bad ideas. Trimming the throwaway extension requires only trimming ONE part and NOT EVERY SINGLE pack as you smartly suggested. STOP embarrassing yourself.
 T3rry 307 points
How about, they are my packs, my extension leads, and I'll do it however i want... kthx.
 T3rry 307 points

 Burnaby 529 points
Why do you bother posting with an attitude of NOT caring what others do. Very selfish attitude to post purely to garter attention. I post to help others and do care about other forum members, you should do the same.
 T3rry 307 points
why are you asking me why i post? your way is very bad advice anyways, with your way you can still plug it in wrong and potentially damage your batteries... with my way that is not possible... just please stop invading my posts with your cynicism... i do not force others to do anything, i simply post my opinion and my way of doing things, what others do with my info, is up to them.
 Burnaby 529 points
Obviously you don't even know how to modify the extension to retain the safety mechanism. Since you don't want advice it won't be taught, your lost.
 T3rry 307 points
how is it my "lost" when my way works perfectly fine for me?
 T3rry 307 points
also, it would be impossible to modify the balance tab to accommodate all different cell batteries, and retain its safety feature, and if you "cared" so much about others on this forum, you would just admit that and stop giving them bad information.
 Burnaby 529 points
You need to understand how the balance tab is wired, Ron posted pics on the forum? You'll then understand what the safety tab feature is preventing which is reverse plugging the neg and pos.? It is absolutely possible to modify the extension to accommodate all sizes without compromising the safety feature.

The better solution for your need is the balance board. The 400w quattro you ordered comes with one.
 Burnaby 529 points
If you still want to mod the 6s ext. leave the first notch for the neg/black lead, then cut slots for the other sizes. The safety tab is still in place to prevent reverse plug which will short the battery. Accidentally plugging one slot over is not a problem, the charger will detect it.

Once you cut the safety tab off the balance tab the battery warranty is void due to modification. I hope you found this info useful and that we can all play nicely. HAND :)
 T3rry 307 points
My way is much easier and safer, it can only be put in one place, one way, cant hook it up wrong at all, it takes me 5 seconds on each battery to trim off the tab with a knife. Also i highly doubt that trimming a tiny tab off the balance connector will void your warranty, i doubt they would even notice it was missing.
 tjdiii 304 points
yes, just make sure you line up the correct polarity. always connect plug all the way to one end if using less than 6s (the black always connects to black)

Can I buy just 1 piece instead of the whole 10s bunch? Because thats all I need. :D
 radialarm 38 points
In a couple weeks I'll have some singles for sale. ***********boydhobby****

Who would need 10pcs?
It should be sold by piece.
 slumberjer 496 points
Yes I only need one..to extend charger lead..much easier to charge..
 Thomas 55 points
They used to be sold individually, but they are so cheap that they just sell them in bundles now. They sell for 4x as much elsewhere, so if anything just resell them.

90 thumbs up!
Great value for money. Though this is the most expensive of the lot. it can be used for making parallel charge leads.

Works OK, but be carefull on the male side, the pins can easily get pushed back out of the connectors. OK for permanent install, no so good for frequent connect/disconnect.
