I purchased this ESC (TGY XP 3A 1S 1gIt then came with wiring etc.)over a year ago and am just putting in a new plane. It does not want to turn over motor, just stutters after a beep-beep then tune then stops. Tried every known throttle setting, plug in I know...got it turn over 1 rpm! I am using this with the HexT 2g BL 7700Kv and an AR6400 receiver. It is bound and set to BL. Is this a defective motor ESC or both. Or is it a programming problem. I can't seem to enter programming mode if it exist on this ESC. HELP,PLEASE!!!

You have to reprogram the AR6400 to go from the default brushed motor mode to the brushless ESC mode. 1. Disconnect your brushed motor(if required). 2. Turn on your transmitter while holding full throttle and full left rudder inputs. 3. Watch your for your AR6400 LED to go off, flash 3 times rapidly, then go solid. 4. Turn off your AR6400 and hook up your brushless ESC setup. BEWARE: the mode change changes the signal/positive/negative pin orientation on your AR6400! Refer to the Spektrum website's addendum on the AR6400 for the correct orientation.

Has anyone tried using this with the AR6400? I was told that it will not work properly run out of the ESC port?
Motors will not run right?
   Bret (49%)
I run it on an AR6400. It works fine, but I power the esc straight from the battery and then run power from the esc to the AR6400. You do have to switch the AR6400 mode first, I think you just hold the throttle stick to top-left when powering on to toggle between modes, but you will want to verify that, since im going from memory.

Has anyone been able to get one of these to enter programming mode via TX commands. I've tried putting throttle trim all the way up. I've used it on a parkzone SU-26 brick that doesn't power it on until after the TX and RX both come on-line. I've tried it on a Parkzone Vapor brick by turning on RX and TX and waiting till they are online, moving throttle to full and then connecting power and signal to BESC. No matter what I try they just wont enter programming mode.

I had no problem entering program mode with mine two...So either you didn't got the same ones as me, or your's weren't correctly programmed or there's something wrong with your setup to program the thing. I don't know.
   Shanti (72%)
Ahm, I forgot. What is your maximum that your TX is sending. Maybe it's too low. I had the same problem at first with mine until I increased the servo range at the RX (Walkera 4#3 RX).
   Bret (49%)
Thanks for the feedback. I got it. I had to throttle up, down then back up before connecting the ESC to the RX. Apparently my RX's have a throttle safety on them that requires an up down cycle before activating the throttle channel.

Is this the same product as the Turnigy 1g ESC? Also does it come with its own Rx cable?
   Trance183 (90%)
After looking into it, I think this is the programable version and the Turnigy is Non-programable.
   Thomas (63%)
What kind of programmer is suitable for it?
   Shanti (72%)
Just tested it. It is the real 1S3A ESC, as it was sold in the first batches of the Turnigy ESC. Later on they changed these batches to the 206B ESCs which were far inferior (not programmable and inferior FETs).
This is again the real deal, fully programmable with the good FETs. For this price unbeatable!
The only ***mer. They don't include the cable anymore with the plug for the RX and the goldies for the Lipo...
This customer was awarded a credit for their answer.
   Trance183 (90%)
Thank you Shanti. Thats exactly what I was thinking. As the new Turnigy batches are having problems running the 2g and 5g motors I believe since they can't be programmed. Also I hope they begin including the cable. Thanks again Shanti.
