can i connect two or more servos to it plz answer ???
 NewToHobbyKing 14206 points
Laith has 8 Channel. Each channel can have at least one servo. If you us a Y harness, then a channel can have 2 servos. Any more that 2 servo per channel, you may need a extra power source. I hope this helps.

Is there any mods I can do to the transmitter or receiver to increase range? What sort of range should I expect from this unit? Will trees effect it, or do I always need line of site?

Now I am sure I have done this before but it no longer seem as easy as it was. So how (without Flashing) do I setup the 3 way switch to work on Flaps please.
DorsetFlyer  13 points - 9/4/2014
I have just bought the FlySky FS-TH9X version of this radio and I must say I am very disappointed with it. I wanted it to replace a 6 channel radio to be able to switch to more options on a quad copter. I thought the 3-position switch and the extra channels would allow plenty of options. But I find that the 3-position switch cannot be assigned to or mixed with any channel. So it is completely redundant. Also the other channels that can be assigned are two 2-way switches and three pots. It is neither convenient nor safe to use a pot to select an option on a quad copter, so that leaves only the two switches. So I have only two options to select, which is no better than the old 6 channel set. I believe that a firmware upgrade might bring the 3-way switch into use, but this looks far from straightforward and I suppose it would invalidate the guarantee.

Are you sure I have used my 3 way switch on a servo and channel and it did work?
 DorsetFlyer 13 points
Mine is a FlySky radio and I suppose you are referring to the Turnigy so there may be a difference there. I have searched Google and I did find some descriptions of how to do it but none of them worked for me. The basic problem is that in setting the auxiliary channels the only options are the two 2-way switches and the three pots. The 3-way switch (labelled F. MODE, but it also says AUX. 3, MIX. , F-E and LND) is not an option. So I don’*t see how to get that switch to be recognised. I would be glad to know how you did it.

Dorset I will dig my Turnigy9XV2 out (moved onto a 9XR with Orange DSM). Till then there is a easy to get info on the 3 way switch. Simplly ASK the Question!

I can not find the receiver for parts, does anyone know where to find it?

Proget this is the item you need :: Turnigy 9X 2.4GHz 8Ch Receiver (V2) (SKU: RX-9X8Cv2). It is listed in the Turnigy Listing. Also Hobby King 2.4Ghz Receiver 6Ch V2 (SKU: HK-T6A-V2) and HobbyKing®* ™* GT-2 2.4Ghz Receiver 3Ch (SKU: HK-GT2_RX), Receivers work too!

Straight Up
53 thumbs up!
I bought this to supersede the HK-T4A transmitter. It comes as a bare transmitter - no batteries, no charger, no instruction manual, and no module (not even 72MHz). This is all OK, as I only use Lipo batteries, hate the cheap transmitter chargers, and ordered an Assan 2.4GHz JR-type module along with the order. Hobby King were up-front with all of this from the start, except the lack of a manual. The manual is available online, as the IMax 9, and the lack of a manual saved me further shipping dollars - a big factor in ordering something cheap.

The good news, it's not a cheap-feeling radio. The gymbals are really smooth, almost to the same standard as my Futaba 9C. Even the throttle ratchet is quite smooth, which is essential for heli flying. The case is plastic, but it feels nice in my hands.

Control with the Assan module was absolutely locked in. The availability of exponential restored my Shocky back to the smooth flying wonder I had originally built (with the HK-T4A I could not get it to fly smooth - I've become addicted to expo). The precision was also really noticable as I fed in gentle "tickles" on the sticks. Outstanding!

The misses (deduct one star):
IF YOU USE EXPO YOU CANNOT USE DUAL RATES!!!! Even 1pcnt of expo disengages any dual-rate settings, even though the rate settings are still there on the screen. I was initially really disappointed about this, until I realised that I hardly ever use dual rates. If you depend on dual rates, this is a FATAL

21 thumbs up!
This 9 Channel Transmitter is excellent, I am using this unit with the FRFRY 2.4Ghz module (JR compatible) and it work smoothly, I prefer the FRFRY over the Corona because the FRFRY is a TRUE Frequency Hopping system (very much like the FUTABA FAST) and is smoother on the servos, Also tested the Dual Rate and Expo and contrary to some reviews in my case work perfectly, remember to channel one at the time (expo or dual rate) and get out of the me
