Peter (84%)
What are the real dimensions of this servo? Is it 10mm or 13mm thick.

I want to use them in a 1,5m aerobatic plane as aileron and elevator servo.
But i don't know if this works really good because the look more like glider servors....

THank you!
   kd6jes Jim (38%)
They have pleanty of torque, almost 50 in/oz.This is about the same as a standard size servo. Also they have all brass gears except the output which is aluminum. It also has a top ball bearing.Only the mounting is different
   Affamalg (75%)
One more Question: Have anyone tested them with a 35mHz System (I use Graupner)?
   Affamalg (75%)
One More... :)

Could anyone who has the servo lying around, measure the dimensions exactly? Please also the mountings at the sides...

This would help me very much!

i would not see a reason why not to use them on aerobatic planes. i have them in 1,5m full carbon F3F glider for slope soaring. flying with high speeds - huge airerons result in heavy servo loads.... no problems with them. als the speeds are slower in motorplanes i would give it a try...

You can use these in your plane without any doubts. I use them in Piper J-3, 1800mm as ailerons / flaperons. The servos working flawlessly. Stronger then standard size HS-422.

Another User wrote in his Review that the Servos work perfclty with his Futaba FASST R617 - Reciever:

So whats true now?
   fliegerpez (46%)

   Michael (42%)
recieved 2 of these. work perfectly with futaba R617. no worries...
   fraspeed (53%)
this is working on futaba 2.4, very well
   Michael (42%)
works fine with FASST reciever !!
   Rene (63%)
They work perfect with the 617 receiver but not with the 608 and 6008 receiver. They only work with the 608 and 6008 receiver when you put the transmitter on, and the RX in on position, and if you then put the servo's in the receiver, then they wil work.

Has anyone measured the current consumption of these servos under load?
Have you had problems using them with a PPM (FM) receiver? Thanks for any infos!

Guys, I did some more testing to exclude possible low pulse voltage (2,8v) on older Futaba receivers. I connected servo to newer receiver (3,2v puls height) and via and EMCO TEC DPSI. Results ae the same. Servo won't work ! It drives me nuts

Anybody an idea how to get these work on a 2.4 GHZ Futab receiver. They only work if you connect them after powerup of the receiver.
   Rene (63%)
they work perfect with 617 fasst receiver

ste92 (50%)
Do they work with Futaba 2,4ghz FASST rx system?
Thanks.
   astir (87%)
Ste92,

NO they do work with 2.4 Ghz Futaba. I ordered 5 and are all useless. They only work if yiu connect them to the receiver after it has been powered on. Makes these servo's useless.
   fraspeed (53%)
Yes, i'm using 10x of these
