bec which I use to this esk, I'll just use 2 servos Turnigy TG9e 9g / 1.5kg / 0.10sec Eco Micro Servo, else the engine does not influence the school bec not right?
Hello, I had bought 2 of these speed controllers few months back and one of them suddenly stopped working. I am using it with a 3s 11.1v battery and a turnigy motor. Please Help!
I am using this product with an AXN motor (2150kv/180w). It is making clicking noise at half throttle. The motor seems to work fine with the HK-Blue series-30A ESC.
Can somebody help resolve this issue.
my 4oA hk esc also dose the same thing and also if you use a 45c-90 battery same thing will happen as i think it is not a issue with the esc but a issue with the motor according to what i have experience that motor will work perfectly with 30A esc and with a 25c lipo pack
Colega para vc fazer este calculo vc pega o wats do motor e divide pela bateria Exemplo uma lipo de 2200 / motor de 550 wats = esc de 40 mas sempre coloque um esc maior se pede um de 40 coloque um de 50 .. Abraç*os
esc only the inclusion gives a signal after a short time it is ready to run if you humming all the time it is likely to be damaged even check if it is connected to the engine
I have 3 HK 50A ESC's. Ad said plug and fly. I plug it in and I get a series of 10 beeps off and on continuously. Online programming manual PDF states to move throttle to center and select. Nothing happens just continues beeping. Why does this have to be so confusing. What's up with the plug and play???
I soldered everything last night. Today I plug everything in and it goes *beep beep beep* ... nothing. Couple of seconds later, it does that over and over! What's up?
It is not arming, sounds as if the throttle is "up", either the throttle trim needs to be lowered or if you are using a Futaba radio, the throttle channel needs to be reversed from standard....these tests should always, always, always be carried out....PROP OFF.
sounds like the throttle is not set at neutral, try playing with the throttle trim until neutral is achieved. hope this helps. also make sure your external BEC is working ok.
Can someone help me in connecting this ESC to a turnigy D2826/6 motor. I am a newbie and have never used this stuff before. I see that the ESC has A, B and C but i dont know how to connect them to the motor.
Pls help
Amigo, O fio positivo do ESC e do Motor nunca pode ser alterados. Na inversã*o da rotaç*ã*o vc vai trocar o neutro com o retorno, nunca com o fio vermelho do ESC e motor.
No. This is separator. If I understand you correctly.this esc has no bec. You would want a separate bec. Probably a ubec. Anything of mine that I care about has a separate ubec.bec and esc sold separately. Hope this helps.
Its the battery eliminator circuit. It's the center wire in the trio of wires coming off your esc. I use a UBEC , or universal BEC on all of my planes so that if I fry my speed controller I don't loose all power to my RX.if you do the same you have to remove the center wire from the servo clip where it connects to the RX, and just plug the UBEC into any open Chanel on RX. Hope this helps. If not I can explain in more detail.
The above ESC, the HK-60A, has no BEC, hence, no power out to the Rx. The center wire is for throttle speed control signal only. The Rx needs to receive power from a separate battery pack, plugged into the Rx's batt/bind input.
Search under "LiPo, LiFe, NiMH Battery", then "Rx/Tx Batteries".
Sorry to add to confusion. It's too bad HK doesn't explain things like this up front, instead of making customers hash it out among themselves. I bought one of these ESCs and it took me months to figure out why it wouldn't work just by plugging it in like other ones I had.
Well who's fault is that? certainly not HobbyKing's as you accuse. It's purely your fault for not reading the description. You ordered it and HobbyKing delivered exactly what you ordered The description states very clearly "NO BEC"
If that line was there when I ordered it, then I probably overlooked it, or didn’*t understand it, which would make it my own fault. I was just saying that I wished it had been explained better for dummies like me, which would have saved me a lot of time, but I also know that you can’*t have it all, so I concede.
That's the very reason this forum is here. To help people like yourself get the right items. Just "is this ESC right for my plane" would have had people saying it needs a BEC and then you would ave to ask "what the hell is a BEC" Don't be afraid to ask questions but then don't expect personal tuition either. There are many forums on the Net who have just about every answer you need. It takes a lot of reading but so does anything you learn. Remember to read a page before asking a question because it's probably been asked before. I saw one a few weeks ago and the same question was asked 17 times in the first 30 questions We get a bit mad when that happens. Say please and thank you. That's about all we ask plus have fun launching your first plane because if you've asked the right questions you will have fun and lots of satisfaction too.
I also have small ones as well and I don't wanna buy another one :)
That's because my parents don't let me buy any more,as they say is a waste of money.
hi in fact it can work but there is a big chance that it will fire up your motor but it will also give it a lot of power but sometimes when you are at full power you will see that it doesn't work like what you expected but the 60A ESC it's the best choice good job
God, what does it take. YES, a 60 amp ESC will be fine for any motor up to a 50 amp for safety sake. It will not be any good for any motors which require more than 60 amps. So here we go, listening? OK?
YOUR 60 AMP ESC WILL HAPPILY POWER YOUR 20 AMP MOTOR. However, to power your receiver and servos you will need either an external BEC (very cheap) a 5 amp BEC is fine. Or use a 6 volt battery pack to do the same YES YES YES YES YES Does that answer your question?
Does anyone know the default timing for this esc? My setup doesn't seem to efficient with this motor. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem .asp?idProduct=14342
Does this unit come with: Timing: 1/7/15/30 programmable and PWM: 8/16K?? The "Hobbyking SS Series 40-50A ESC" version is stated to come with those features but it does NOT!!!
The 4 setting ESC's I received is working on normal motors but the Timing setting for high revving engine is not supported and the 16k PWM setting for high power is not supported.
I recently bought a 5amp BEC and it works fine. Hasent let me dowen and is only slightly warm after a flight. It suggest 5 amps.

My setup with this 60A ESC: a Turnigy 3556 in-runner 1800kva on 4S 3600Mah lipo. With a watt-meter, I tested it on a 8 x6 APC propeller. A lot of power!
After about 6 wonderful flights, no problems. ESC is hot but nothing too worrying.
But this evening, went flying again, the power cut off early after take-off, fortunately I managed to land the plane on dead-stick. When I open to investigate, I saw smoke coming out of the ESC and a "pop!"
