Great lightweight wheels for their diameter, suit 1/16" piano wire. The large diameter and springy hub suits taking off from grass. Only issue is that the tyre, which is an O-ring, pops off the rim very easily. Glue it on with contact glue.

Sorry, correction to the above. These suit 1.5mm wire, not 1/16", which is 1.6mm. (1.5875mm exactly) I checked this with a drill-bit. Hmm, bother! Have never seen 1.5mm wire, only 1/16", and 1.2mm.

My plane weights 380gr (flying). on hard landing spokes break very easily. I've already broken 4 weels! Use them only on light planes.
